Even big acts get pretty much zero income from record sales or views.. and hardly anyone ever actually tries to donate them cash or actually pay for a release.. It's sad.. I met a legendary producer who was thinking of giving up doing music as he was tired of having to tour just to pay his bills when millions of people download his music for zero money that he put years of his time developing the skills to do and create and the money into his studio etc.. guy was just tired of getting no love shown back to him and it's hard to keep on going out touring, away from family, it sounds like fun but it is not
