These kids did phenomenal! I wasn’t so judgy as a kid watching this but rewatching it now as an adult, I cringe at how poorly a lot of the kids did. So this was a relieving episode to watch. They killed it. Also I love how my like is number 666.

Yeah I remember a lot of these, where they only got to the stone, or bronze, prizes - or ran out of time and got locked in. There's a reason why there was a 20 second warning. This episode was great though; they could have sat down and had a picnic in the amount of time they had left over!

I loved this show when I was younger but I wasn't old enough I was 4 or 5 when this episode came out. I really wanted to go on it. Really sad when they stopped it. I'm glad it's on KZbin. It is crazy that these kids were crazy happy about getting those prizes. Most kids nowadays won't have even seen a handheld games console. Goes to show how much has changed over the years

Part of me now wishes I could have been on the game show :D also, for 2005, those prizes were pretty decent! especially the ones for the silver and gold rewards (relatively few teams made it to silver, and even less to gold). I especially remember this one due to the sheer amount of time they had left at the end, after getting all of the prizes!

For 2005 standards, these prizes were pretty decent. As an example, a small portable MP3 player I have (not an iPod Mini!) from about 2007 was only 512MB in capacity, and also didn't come with a rechargeable battery. The iPod Mini was 4GB, and rechargeable.

Crystal Maze did do kids episodes (their Christmas episodes, the first of which I believe a then 15 year old Michael Underwood was team captain). Plus In 2019, Nickelodeon did an American version of Crystal Maze with that featured teams of families (3 kids and 2 adults) filmed on the same set as the British version, utilizing the mega crystal, and awarding up to $25K as the grand prize in the Crystal Dome; its legal for kids to win cash on game shows in America.
