Quick suggestion, I would use tin snips to cut the plastic card as if you can use scissors you can use snips, & there is less risk of injury from knife slips.

For cheap bulk trees I recommend a quick dip in thinned PVA to reduce shedding over time

Yeah, I said I'd sprayed them in thinned down PVA from Geek Gaming Scenics.

Excellent! I've been using mdf for tree bases and plasticard seems a much better option!
@StormofSteelWargaming4 ай бұрын
Cheers, mdf will work just as well, but plasticard will not warp, that's for sure.
@theDexMcHenry4 ай бұрын
Nice one Alex. For the bamboo clumps what do you see as the advantage of using a plasticard base and then the foam core? Why not just go with foam core?
@StormofSteelWargaming4 ай бұрын
@@theDexMcHenry cheers. The plasticard just adds the non warping strength. I've had foamcore warp before, but it's worth trying. Also, the plasticard isn't pierced by the metal of the bamboo either...

Really good tutorial. Did you wash/clean with detergent the plastic bits of the rubber tree trunks and the full bamboo pieces before you painted them?
@StormofSteelWargaming4 ай бұрын
Cheers Jim. No, I didn't, and didn't notice any issues, but you could if you think the paint will stick better.

@@StormofSteelWargaming Thanks, Alex. Truthfully, I'm all for reducing the number of required steps. So, no prep; just paint!
