FAQ & Additional info: Part 2: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHPRi6mBo9qUq6M Can get MUCH faster by dropping the rarity on the helm and gloves making them very cheap, so you can then opt into a helm with 100-150 more es aswell as higher evasion gloves. Can also drop a ton of damage nodes just for more es/ev on your main setup, the damage is at least 4x what you need for comfy mapping. How much does it cost?: At current prices and without rarity on gear you can get 85% of the damage for like about 7 divines. I purchased my queen of the forest at 50ex but it has increased in price. What Jewels?: Most important 2 mods are Poison magnitude & increased bonuses from quiver. For the +2 gems on your quiver you want to hit 50% increased effect breakpoints resulting in +1 gem level per 50% totaling your widowhail, passive tree, and jewels. How do you sustain flask charges on bosses?: You don't!.. Kinda. I have anointed "arcane alchemy" + 0.25 charges gained per second on mana flask suffix along with a fine belt base for 0.17 charges per second, just for a little sustain. With my current setup the only time I have ran out of flask charges has been on t4 pinnacle bosses at around 25%hp. Everything else is defeated long before that. I will cover this in an update video in a few days but the gist I am theorizing would be swapping your ascendency point off traveler's wisdom and allocating connected chemistry instead, taking a few increased flask charges gained nodes that you are already connected to, the 0.25 charges gained per second suffix mod on your mana flask, a "fine belt" belt base that provides 0.17 charges per second along with increased flask charges gained suffix, and for right now the 0.1 charges gained per second anoint "arcane alchemy". I have tested this and it needs just a little more though for 100% uptime on throwing. My goal however, would be to simply deal so much damage you don't need a full flask to deal with t4 pinnacle bosses. And as for mapping I have never run out of charges. Follow up video?: There will be a follow-up with a few things I missed, aswell as a more endgame setup. Along with some more alternatives and swaps you can do. Ascendency Points Order: I was already mapping with gas arrow so I do not know how pconc leveling feels but with how strong the base gem is I cant imagine it would be bad. If you want to level with pconc go: pconc->Contagious Contamination->Overwhelming Toxicity->Traveller's Wisdom.

Having a bit of trouble with the passive tree here, is it currently bugged as heck for anyone else on maxroll? If I try to start applying points its like my cursor is invisible and offset half a screen from where I am actually clicking making it basically impossible to allocate points.

Don't sleep on boots, they provide clear speed and vs some mechanics they are insane, like ritual, you just stand and it clears itself. Its like free spam of gas arrow, with more damage because its based off corpse life.

one thing to note if you're playing this build: Do not use the MTX King of Faridun - Specifically the armor set. I encountered this interaction first day of EA, since the armor MTX makes you float, it does not count as "STEP", so the "decompose on step" on the unique boots will not trigger :D pay to lose literally :D

Hey man! Couple questions now i've mapped for a bit, if you don't mind :) I'm at a point where I need to buy some rares (more specifically ring and belt). 1) Balacing resistance is really tight, so I was wondering for the belt if I should aim for Flask charges gained ? I know you said it's completly unecessary, but in the other end you also said you ran out of charges during the toughest encounter. 2) Regarding flask crafting : you chose 0.25 charge per second mod over the % increased charges which provides 52 more charges. To reach that difference with the recharge mod you'd need to wait 208 second to gain as many charges. Long explanation, short question : do max pinacle bosses last more than 208 seconds ? 3) Does %inc flask charges gained (belt) and %more flask charges gained on Pathfinder works with charges per seconds ? (I assume so, but you know better) I hope you'll see this comment, I'd like your insight on this. Thanks !

1.) When I said its completely unnecessary I was referring to how I'm leaning into just putting things down before you run out of charges, and after some more testing doing full investment into charges gained there just isn't enough sources of flat charges gained without insane levels of investment. But I will go over that in a follow-up today. 2.) No they definatly do not last that long, not even close lol. But you do bring up a good point for using the other flask mod. I will talk about that in the follow up, thank you for that feedback :). 3.) Just tested to be sure and it appears to not be bugged. Problem is the "current charges" number iself is so buggy. It can gain charges consistantly 1 by 1 or freeze show no charges gained and jump up by like 5 charges, or anything in-between as a visual bug.

This is really interesting. I had planned a very similar setup on launch before making the classic last second pivot haha. I didn't consider the boots because of the ms but qotf is a real clean solution and from your footage they look insane. I would be curious to try abusing weapon swap blink for movement so you can get way more ES on your chest while keeping the boots

I see Queen of the forest is 5 or 6 divines right now. I have like 8 divines total, what kind of budget do you think is necessary? Any ballpark? Is queen of the forest the most expensive item (as far as you can tell as obviously the market fluctuates heavily right now especially given you just made this guide)

Yes queen of the forest is by far the most expensive item. Boots are 1ex. Ring, belt, gloves, and helm can all be much cheaper without rarity. Amulet can be cheaper with a +2 proj, quiver will be a tad expensive for a decent one still since you are sharing the same stats for any build using a widowhail.

To clarify, poisonous concoctions scaling is both projectile damage AND bow damage, not a buff, the damage is the instant damage you see but the projectile levels increase the poison, I’m running this build in mapping and it’s nuts.

I was already mapping with gas arrow before the buff to pconc and swapped post-buff, so I can't comment on leveling with it. I leveled with gas arrow + plaugefinger gloves + widowhail + a quiver with high flat damage / damage with bow skills. I upgraded the quiver every 10-15 levels and was flying through campaign.

Yes the damage dealt will be nowhere close. You must throw with your bow setup. Usually this is done automatically but as I said they have not added the ability to assign pconc to a weapon set.

Thoughts on using plague nova? I find it's incredible for screenwide clear and a extra button you can press while waiting for poison stacks to drop off, if IIR stackers can afford a dozen soul cores I'm sure you can afford 2 for the 30 spirit.

Yup! You can absolutely go that route for basically free with just the two cores, I just didn't feel like spending that amount of dough for them.

I leveled with gas arrow + plaugefinger gloves, this was before the buff to pconc so I cant comment on leveling with it. Upgrading quiver every 10-15 levels or so and I was flying through. Poison damage I found was very low early though, most of the damage was "hits" from gas arrow itself. With the latest buff to pconc u could probably level with that easily. Would delay your ascendency point to double poison stacks till 3rd lab though.

@@gmanutz I would probably level as lightning arrow or gas arrow + firewall then respec later. You could switch to pconc on first lab but I personally wouldn't recommend it, ideally you switch after 3rd lab. Starts off a bit slow but as soon as you get levels on pconc it pops off

I was using gas arrow combined with the plaugefinger unique gloves which makes your elemental damage count towards poison. This with a widowhail I used all throughout the campaign. Only thing you need to do buy a quiver with lots of flat damage + damage with bow skills and upgrade it about every 10-15 levels and I was flying through with that setup. A majority of the damage was just "hit damage" from gas arrow though. However that was pre-poisonous concoction buff and you could probably get away with going pconc earlier if you'd like.

Equipment wise, assuming you can do this right after campaign. Assuming the essentials are Bow, Boots. Chest when u can.?? That about it? What stats on gear you want?

Bow boots and chest are the core yup. +3 on neck is nice go for +2 if its too expensive along with life/increased max es. +2 quiver is also core with at least attack speed implicit or suffix and dex, followed by inc damage with bow skills if u can afford it. Everything else just life and res with a big es helm.

Consider looking at the problem from a different angle. Forget about getting more flask sustain, and focus on getting more damage early on. Damage alone will get you to cruel difficulty, at least in my experience with a sorc and a monk.

you can annoint Arcane Alchemy to help with flask charges. It is retty cheap, total of 4ex i think

There's an item called a glowswarm ring that will basically make you never run out of flasks ever. Very useful while leveling.

I was already in map pre-pconc buff though, you could likely level with pconc and it'd feel great. The gem is incredibly strong as a base.

Yes that will happen when not holding a martial weapon. However as of writing this, intended or not, you maintain your current wind dancer stacks when u swap to the offhand setup. I have not chosen use a martial weapon in the off hand however because we then need to make up a pretty huge chunk of dex to meet the requirement for it.

Quite literally the exact same I think. I was originally running gas arrow before I swapped to pconc and my tree barley changed if at all. Only problem you would run into there is the gas arrow support gems and pconc support gems are going to heavily overlap, so you would have to manually swap the gems around each time.

Just from my experience when I was playing with gas arrow pconc highly outperforms. If you can delete bosses on gas arrow as fast as the footage here I'd love to have a look at your build, I personally was very low on single target with it.

Hey! In part 2 I do adjust the tree to pick up the +1, you can see those exact changes in the " passive tree " section. Its possible the other couple points leading up to the 11% damage as chaos are also a great pickup. But I was already so over damage for all the content in the game I just leaned into more movement speed and defenses.

Hi, nice to see this build as an endgame version, i am playing the same build but in HC and im thinking on investing on more energy shield and maybe chaos innoculation, what are your thoughts on that, seems legit? wanted to be make a tanky dot character and this seemed like a good fit

I am a softcore gamer myself so I can't comment too much on a HC setup, but I'll try. The only thing that currently puts me down on occasion is the little chaos balls that follow you or if I stand in > 5 ground circles at a time assuming I have 5 ghost dance charges. One thing I can say is that if you want this level of movement speed you are going to have to go with a Queen of the Forest as far as I know at this moment. Queen of the forest offers much less defense than a big evasion/energy shield hybrid chest would give you though, (which is something I swap to during some pinnacle bosses that I will cover in a follow up video soon). CI and energy shield is just straight up busted in general right now though so I'd imagine if you swapped the gloves out for a hybrid pair, get a better helm than mine, and path to the hybrid es/evasion nodes instead of going a majority pure evasion like I have currently you may be able to cook something there. Can't say I'd recommend rolling with the boots though in a HC setup as they are a complete defensive brick. Pair of boots with insane es/ev rolls should be incredibly cheap since you don't need movement speed on them though, and would also recover the lost evasion from your gloves so if I were you I'd look towards that direction. This is all just spitballing though, stay safe.

So, are the early skill points in projectile damage just that worth over the bottom route with more evasion? It feels strange to route backwards for some of the evasion nodes instead of just starting there. Or are they that valuable for your damage? Not really experienced, just going to follow the build and hope for the best. But curious if you could use those skill points elsewhere.

We are a bit low on normal % inc damage, so I went that route. Originally I did path through the evasion, but after setting up the weapon sets I swapped to the proj damage for the core set since I can just take the evasion on the offhand swap.

Absolutely "playable" without queen of the forest but you would be very slow. I would not recommend using the boots without significant investment into movement speed on the tree otherwise, even then it would still be much much slower.

If you don't care about the extra movement speed you don't have to do the weapon set passives and swap. But yes it also ties into some additional curse effect.

Love the build and I'm working towards it, but you have as your #1 slot Poisonous Concoction. Yet in the Pathfinder tree of the planning build it's not chosen. How do you get that without speccing to it in the ascendancy tree?

I actually can't even remember the first choice. Second was defiantly the chaos res. IIRC the first three were stun threshold ailment threshold and mana regen? If that was the case I would've took mana regen. Can't log in right now but will check when I can later and get back if its different.

Let me ask you because I'm very interested in running this build. Do you think this build is good w/o the potential bug thats giving it increased % damage with bow skills? I'm sure it can't be contributing THAT much to the overall damage. Also do you think being able to use weapons will remain enabled whilst using PC?

You will have to much up some % increased damage without that line. However the fact that you can have a weapon in your main hand and use pconc at the same time is not a bug, it is intended. So in the worst case you will just have to make up some of that % increased damage. You still keep the +11 to gem levels, attack speed, dex, proj speed, and in the case the bow damage is lost you would replace that with flat phys to recoup some of that loss.

Very cool, I'm playing something similar but I have corrupted bow for chaos dmg and using rain of arrows to apply wither. Never considered using second weapon set for better curse/movespeed, will try that

For ailment builds its about balancing inc damage %'s that are affecting your skill and ailment magnitudes. Obviously we don't have POB right now so I'm doing what I can to test and balance it directly in-game but its a bit more difficult than POB would be. Tree could shift around a bit but I will cover that in a follow-up video.

I personally cannot recommend using the boots without queen of the forest. Unless you do not mind being very slow, then u can go for an es/ev hybrid chest either full es/ev or with life. If you were to go that route I'd drop some of the worse evasion nodes we have and go for movement speed.

I essentially have the same Quiver as you, same bow at 240% plus the additional from the perk tree.. concoction is at level 31 but my dps is stuck at around 8.5k, how does your quiver amp it up into the 30k plus reigon?

Would have to see your pob which unfortunately doesn't exist currently. Make sure your tree is right and jewels are very important, check the jewel section in part 2.

This builds looks fantastic. I'm currently leveling my poison Pathfinder and loving the playstyle. Besides the unique bow ist there an alternativ? Or do bow damage doesn't matter because the concoction scales otherwise?

The bows base damage does not matter as pconc states "deals unarmed chaos attack damage" meaning it does not include your weapon's base damage in its damage calculation. The bow exists only to scale your quivers stats, which do scale your damage.

worth noting that pconc scales particularly well with gem levels so the widowhail setup is very strong with +2 on quiver

Just started a ranger to try poisonous concoction. What skills would you recommend using until I get to a higher level and should I go ahead and try to trade for those boots? And would my first ascendancy to take pc

I was using gas arrow combined with the plaugefinger unique gloves which makes your elemental damage count towards poison. This with a widowhail I used all throughout the campaign. Only thing you need to do buy a quiver with lots of flat damage + damage with bow skills and upgrade it about every 10-15 levels and I was flying through with that setup. However that was pre-poisonous concoction buff and you could probably get away with going pconc earlier if you'd like.

That build looks amazing! I watched most of it but missed the part about tankiness. It's mostly just hope that you dont get hit via evasion right? A tad bit sad to be in vacation right now lol, i'd love to play that!

For the tankiness first off yes you will very rarely ever be hit. However since we are not using acrobatics, as it would brick our movement speed, that makes our weakness mainly ground circles. With ghost dance though you essentially get 5 free ground circle hits before you actually start taking any damage ( if you are at max stacks ). This along with eternal youth we were plenty tanky already. With the current setup in this video I only really ever fall over to the flowers that spawn the little chaos balls that chase you if I'm not paying attention. I have significantly improved defenses though and can tank every ability from a t4 Xehst now, will cover this in the follow-up.

Doesnt Ming's just increase the "initial" splash damage of pconc since its saying "gain" and when u hover over it, it says Damage over time cannot benefit from this. Idk if its worth to spend 4-5 div for that ring now

2 things here. 1.) in POE2 ailments work differently than POE1 in that the total final damage of the hit, minus debuffs on the mob such curses that affect how much damage they WOULD take (as that would double-dip when they are actually taking the poison damage), determine how much damage your ailments will deal. This includes mods such as any increased damage that is affecting the hit, such as projectile damage or damage as extra chaos in this case. When the "gain" mod states it cannot affect damage over time, that is saying that once you have poisoned you arnt going to gain 40% of that poison damage again as extra chaos damage, or if you were using a dot spell like contagion it would not affect that either. 2.) Ming's heart is 1div not 4-5 :P

Yup! Build will still work however you will be very slow. I would not recommend using the boots without queen of the forest unless you don't mind that. If you did go that route anyways I'd recommend dropping some evasion and pathing to any nearby movement speed nodes.

Awesome guide man, I'm leveling with pconc atm... It's not ideal without the boots ^^' But it's fine, I know the struggle will pay off. I have a question : why so much poison duration ? I'm asking since during mapping everything dies in 1-2 sec max and on bosses you just spam pcon. Happy Holiday!

A majority of the poison duration I take is build into notables that you would already want to take, or are 1 click away. But reason being pathfinders ascendency node Overwhelming Toxicity is giving us 35% less poison duration combined with Comorbidity support hitting us with 30% less duration aswell. This is mostly for feel-good duration on pinnacle bosses so you don't have to have 100% uptime spamming pconc, but also feels nice for extending proliferations in maps aswell as poisons comming from the boots. May drop an extra small or two in the end game setup as the character gets leveled to the point to make it to another noteable.

I was already mapping with gas arrow before the pconc buff so I did not level with pconc. But with how strong the base gem is now I can't imagine it would be bad to level with.

This is true. However it is also just straight up bugged aswell. I tried using a martial weapon in the offhand and it just won't stack, so ended up going with something else. Will try to remember to bring that up in the follow-up video.

Who knows. Probably some parts of this will be hit one way or another. But its equally likely all the other top tier builds will aswell. All depends on what exactly they change. Hopefully they also bugfix conc-effect support for this because its currently non-functional and that would be about a 25% more damage boost over our worst support.

Checked in game just now and it is still working. Not sure what you are talking about xd? Are you trying to take the bow passives on the outer edge of the tree? If so those nodes read differently than the mod on the quiver.

Atziri's distain may give u a larger chunk of es but that will not count towards your evasion rating aka movespeed, which is what I wanted to lean into as much as possible.

Absolutely will be. Conc effect support which would be a gem to swap in for boss is 40% more area damage and currently does not add its damage at all. It alone would make up for the damage loss of that line in my current setup.

It would be good but its tough to get. You really don't want to miss out on the increased energy shield IMO as my current tree doesn't have much of it. Will talk a little about that in a follow-up though.

Do you have increased evasion on every jewel or something? I'm not sure how you're able to hit 27k evasion with your gear and tree otherwise, as far as I can tell you should have around 23.8k. Your tree has a total of 505% increased ev on full life (no dodging) and 605% increased ev on body armour specifically. If you had ~100% ev total on jewels, you'd be at the the 27k mark, but that's like 16.7% avg roll on each jewel, on top of having to get quiver effect which seems pretty difficult.

Prio is bow, +2/as implict or suffix/dex quiver damage with bow skills is prefered aswell, then at least a +2 neck pref +3, the chest is quite expensive now was only 4d when i uploaded this but for alot of movespeed it is needed. I wouldn't use the boots without it personally unless you do not mind being very slow.
