Top 17 after rehearsal previews: 1. Ukraine: So glad they kept the spirit of the staging from the NF to show the home with the frames. Artem continues to slay his vocals (even with what seemed like a slight illness... but sources say he's better now so that's a relief). Praying that his voice is indeed 100% on the day because when his voice is 100% he gives a 150% performance! Continues to not waver in his vocal power, even when moving, total pro (***break in nanana is only due to slight illness) 2. Portugal: less is more, she doesn't need loads of bells and whistles behind her. This lets her and the song shine, and shine they will. And OMG whistle note!!! I genuinely hope she wins (I just still prefer Ukraine slightly more) 3. Estonia: STUNNING vocals similar to recording, exact vibes I wanted for the staging, hoping the juries and wider public will agree with me and give her a good place despite her performing in the roughest spot (performing 2nd) 4. Netherlands: so my top 4 didn't change haha, the vibes are very Ralf in the striped suits and the outfit change looks so cool (if it truly is a midsong outfit change and not just a decision to swap the outfits for the whole song outright). They are definitely gonna get the audience singing along!!! 5. Armenia: always slays the performance package, expected nothing less than all-in, and LEO is such a showman!!! And thank you Armenia for bringing the spirallll 6. Albania: holy cow she is going all-in with those vocals, much more so than on national final day! Very simple staging but her song doesn't really need bells and whistles, just some floral accents is all she needs. Wow this just skyrocketed!!! 7. Spain: they know how to stage an engaging and fun JESC performance, so colorful. Just hope she is all energy whole way through and doesn't show fatigue in vocals if she is tired. 8. Georgia, this fell a bit for me as the staging is beautiful but not as impactful for me. It kinda works with the song's tone though, and I think it'll go back up on JESC day, I think I need to see the whole performance on this one to see how it "hits" 9. Germany: amazing example of how staging can elevate a song. The colorful, nature-affirming staging is stunning and Bjarne truly pours his emotion into every single note. Might go even higher on JESC day. 10. Ireland: Still love it, love the dance vibes, it's just not feeling as strong as others rn. I see it going back up a bit on Saturday tho 11. Malta: the staging enriches this so much and going last might also help him. He tells his story so beautifully! This song was just already middle of the pack for me so unless something super impactful happens for me on the day, this is where it will remain 12. Italy: while I absolutely love the trampoline bed and all the pillows, I noticed something. Sometimes Simone absolutely nails his high parts. Other times it sounds like he is straining (this can happen when you're nervous). I feel for him and don't want that pressure to take a toll on his voice. He nails it when he's relaxed but maybe the arrangement put too much pressure on him in the high stakes environment??? 13. Cyprus: interesting staging but... maybe it was my expectations impacting this but... I'm not sure how well the full "package" is working. I expected a beachier feel for staging. Plus it's hard to both sing and dance, and though I love that Maria was joining the dancers on the break, that full out dancing seemed to affect her vocals directly after. Sometimes overchoreographing isn't a good delegation decision 14. North Macedonia: the song already was not standing out as much as others for me, but the adults of the delegation made another questionable staging choice. It needed dancers IMO but they've only got the 2 singers there. 15. France: still there may be some sort of surprise they didn't show us, but it feels like unusually bare staging for France. Since the delegation didn't give Titouan as strong of a song in recent past, an impactful staging was needed. 16. San Marino: interesting throwback look but staging does not help the song. And I don't think the delegation made the changes we wanted. Sure we only saw the group part and not the possible solo moment, but they were all in unison and the part overtop was background vocal. 17. Poland: although the staging looks really cool it didn't do anything to elevate the song. Again such a shame as Dominik is such a charismatic performer

You are way too harsh with France. As a reminder, at Eurovision and Junior Eurovision, we certainly judge on the staging but also on the song and the vocal performance of the artist. Concerning France at Junior Eurovision 2024, the staging is quite sober and is not among the best this year but Titouan has a very, very beautiful voice, his song is catchy, joyful and carries a beautiful message about tolerance and against racism. In addition, it will score plenty of points with international juries who generally like pop music like “Comme ci, comme ça”.

In overall, most of the staging are decent. Nothing really amazing, but it's very hard to have a clear opinion on a performance only with a snippet, because maybe what we see is amzzing but the whole performance will be underwhelming, maybe what we see is underwhelming but the whole performance is amazing. Moreover, some changements are still allowed (especially with the caméra angles). I agree with mostly everyone on the TOP 3 - Portugal 🥇, Cyprus, and yes - Ukraine (I'm STILL mad about Zlata and "Namysto" not here in Madrid, though). You are way too harsh with France. As a reminder, at Eurovision and Junior Eurovision, we certainly judge on the staging but also on the song and the vocal performance of the artist. Concerning France at Junior Eurovision 2024, the staging is quite sober and is not among the best this year but Titouan has a very, very beautiful voice, his song is catchy, joyful and carries a beautiful message about tolerance and against racism. In addition, it will score plenty of points with international juries who generally like pop music like “Comme ci, comme ça”.

@ASB-x3g the fact that I put France really low doesn't mean I'm too harsh with it. I just don't like the song and the staging isn't appealing to me. I imagined the performance to be different, but Titouan did what he and his team could and I appreciate their hard work. Everyone has their own opinion and you should respect it. I still wish Titouan the best of luck and hope he'll do well on Saturday.

@@ЕлизаветаРодионова-р2в I respect your opinion. The fact remains that you are too harsh on France. The staging is sober, it's not the best and is even quite disappointing, I grant you. Afterward it's not among the worst either and beyond the staging, it's also the singing and the vocal interpretation which are judged and there for once, France is there with a catchy and joyful song carrying a beautiful message on tolerance and against racism as well as a representative (Titouan Hervo) who assures vocally (in comparison with other artists this year like Annabelle, Ana and Aleksej or even Leo). France will undoubtedly collect a lot of points from international juries appreciating this style of song.
