Your amazing the thought and ideas that go into the making of your journals your mind must be continually working and analysing things. No I don't mind if the journals are overflowing love it. It's nice to know that you also watch flip throughs to get ideas like we do with yours. My hardest thing is looking at something and thinking it's to big to fit there and looking for something that does - Cut it up Terri it's that simple, but that''s how my mind works no matter what it is - Books, doilies whatever I still think I'm destroying something I should leave whole especially after watching Grandma make doilies all her life. I did see something in a flip through yesterday and I've now put that on the front of my journal idea note book 'BE UNIQUE' Don't copy something exact put your own twist on it and make it UNIQUE. Thank you for your inspiration Sara-lee.

My mind does run a mile a minute lol and when i cut up a doily I often feel that way, but then i remembered that i saved it from a dusty bin in an opshop and that I'm giving it a new appreciation in a new way, allowing it to continue its life as art for many years to come, and I feel better about it 🥰

I pressed a lot of it last summer in the beautiful flower presses that my best friends son made me:) We have pulled over to the side of the road so many times lol!!! 😂 I don’t do conventional things with flowers and leaves like I use my food dehydrator for flowers. 🌸 When my husband was alive he would just shake his head (when I was using something not the way it was purposed) and say “I’ve never seen anything like” or once he said “I’ve never known anyone like you that uses something completely opposite of how is supposed to be used”😆😂🤣 I’ll try my best to help with flower ID:) Thought I was subscribed I’ll do that right now!😉

What an absolutely beautiful journal! I love the feeling of a palimpsest approach where we sense something beneath the paper or design; it reminded me of Venitian walls or old houses where the wallpaper has started to peel. Beautiful border work too with plenty of space to actually write. This is gorgeous! I just subscribed and will look forward to following your work.
