Soaking gauze in coffee now lol i’m very new to this and when I found your page your birds in the background at first were distracting me but I think it’s like changing from a Presbyterian Church to evangelical🙌🏻😂🥰 once I got used to it it’s beauty of sound I wouldn’t want it any other way. I love your birds. I lived in Trinidad & Tobago I had a McCall,,,I named Bogey McCall. I’ve fallen for their way of talking to each other, to you and of course we’re blessed to listen.

LOVE the 1907 "junk journals"! I have my grandmother's autograph journal from right around that same time period. All her friends wrote a little poem and then signed their names. Some even sketched flowers at the bottom of their page. I have scanned images of every page (no access to the original as it has been donated to a historical society) but thought it would be fun to print some of the pages and incorporate them into a junk journal of my own. So many ideas, not enough time!

I found an autograph book from my last year of high school (1972) and brought sweet memories. Must find a way of using it, can't tossed it, it's just precious.

I love hearing your lovely birds in the background. One sewing tip. If you hand move you wheel so your needle if in the up position when you stop sewing you shouldn’t need to threat your needle when you start sewing the next time. Holding your two threads when starting helps keep the threads from binding up in your sewing machine. Sorry that turned into two sewing tips. I love your ideas and projects. They are lovely. I use all of them. Great job.

Better late than never comments! The tiny journals were precious...paper was probably a precious item still. For my great grandmother, every empty space on a piece of paper had notes, lists or recipes jotted down. I have old pieces of mail, old newspapers and even a voting ballot from an old newspaper, that was reused. Going thru her papers is a doubly blessed journey...one for her personal life and the other is the time capsules written on. I love this look with gauze and will be playing with it! Thanks!

Those little books were so precious. Makes me wonder why they were not written on. What a find! You could put a bit of thin paper over the gauze and sew it. I keep a brown bag of scraps under my sewing table for threads, fabric bits, paper and plastic scraps to grab in a pinch.

These are perfect, try stitching a scrap of fabric to the edge first, then feeding what you want to sew. less thread wasted and no ends for the machine to chew up, also follow on with another scrap at the end. it a perfect tab to hold while tackling the narrow strips, u can then nip them off the end when you're finished. and for ease use a pointy thing to stabilize the fabric as you feed it in, saves finger, can use scissors, knitting needle or pencil if u have one. hugs from the UK xx

Great idea, very pretty. I need to get some of that 'gaas' (what we call it here in The Netherlands, what you say sounds like the same though. You're using a Dutch word! Yeey!). Wonderful tutorial, lol! I had a good laugh, no thread and tugging too hard, 'How not to video by Pam', I love it that you did not cut that out. Very real, that's life, lol. Eh, you mentioned me! Yep, I love listening to you babbling away while cooking or ironing, and indeed I have listened to your podcasts in the car (even to a video before the podcasts were up and running). But I also sit down for your vids, like I did for this one, so no cooking or ironing (or driving) today! Hugs & blessings to you, and now I'm curious about what you were going to say, so now I have to watch your next vid too straight away :-) Ok, on to the next! Xo

Oh I liked this so Much! I made some with you, this time. The first time I watched but at the time I either didn't have everything ready or I wasn't at home (most likely at work) near my craft area. My daughter leaves for school at 7am and I have to be at work by 9am so there's about 45min to an hr that I can at least get my project supplies out so when I get home it's all waiting along with my crew: my husband, daughter and our 2 puppers-Stella and Daisy (Austrain Shepard and German Shepard mixes, they are sisters from the same litter.) I'm with you on waiting for glue and liquid pearls to thoroughly dry. I always swipe something through the pearls, could be my finger, hand but I don't stop there I've dropped things on them, drag my sweater sleeve through it. Yep I have fumbled projects and it lands face down doing the gravity smoosh on some other piece I want-ed to use. Awe the beautiful caos that is my world 🌎 ❤ Thanks Pam, for all you do, to share fun and fun-damentals of enjoying crafting. Big HUGS 🤗 ❤ Have a great Tuesday!

I'm clueless as to how I came across your video, but I'm really glad I did. I wish I had come across your channel when I was still an active demonstrator with Stampin' Up! Your projects are amazing! I've dabbled in journaling and did a lot of paper crafting for a time, but my main focus of late is jewelry making. These trims for your paper crafting, to me anyway, are much too pretty to be hidden in a journal. You have my creative wheels spinning about how lovely these would be made into some vintage-style or fun boho jewelry. Thanks for sharing your how-to. Of course, I'll use ribbon, bias binding, etc. for the foundation and will hand sew on the lace, gauze, etc. as well as actual pearls and other beads or ephemera. Can't have anything fall apart should the wearer get it wet. You know what moisture does to paper and water soluble glues and ink. Yikes! Really looking forward to putting into action the ideas you've given me for my jewelry making. Thanks again!

I am learning SO much from your channel - thank you! The vintage booklets are adorable and I had a quick thought regarding those. My dad's name is Francis and we were always told that boys spell the name FRANCIS - the I for HIM. And girls spell it FRANCES - the E for HER. Sooo, my thought was that the booklets could have been made by a little boy! Fun!
