I've been playing a bit with the idea of putting colour down first, then adding outlines. It's such a fun and adaptable technique. Thanks for this variation on that, and the adding of a strong contrasting background. Lovely!

Do you protect your pages, for example with gesso? Or do you just use watercolors on plain paper?

It depends on the thickness of the paper, but I often put down a layer of gesso first ❤️
