I would say it has plenty of purpose. Never have I been so aware to the health and state of the storm drains and culverts near me. He's brought a great amount of awareness to such an important yet often completely unnoticed aspect of our critical infrastructure. Plus every time we get even a decent rain I gotta grab my rake and go check my storm drain... :D

Wait Post10 its a trap. If you follow that baby beaver around that big rock the big beavers are waiting to avenge themselves on their greatest threat in these here parts.

I think that was a muskrat, NOT a beaver. A baby beaver would not have been alone. Perhaps it is ill or just worn out trying to swim upstream. Well, that brought back memories! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. (the pup is cute)

I was watching a doc on the Sava floodplains in Croatia, and it was showing that young beavers don't really want to swim, and have to be forced in to it by their parents. I don't remember the size of their tails though.

That interaction with the wood chuck or whatever it was very much reminded me on a wildlife encounter you get in video games , dumb AI lol. The way it was spaced out and then fled into the creek only to fight the current and make it nowhere and then go right back at your feet and then run away.

please don't stay near an animal that is so distressed, it doesn't matter that your puppy isn't interested. the little thing is terrified and would have been too scared to eat a carrot even if you had one. love you man but please never stand so close to a little guy like that again
