@wabbitt124 Жыл бұрын
Just watching this and I’m amazed and a little horrified at the same thing!How is he not seeing it?!! I can see the flash clearly on camera, and some of those strikes are really close, too! Unclogging drains is cool and helpful, but I would not be out there right then with that blitz going on. Better to wait to wait a while for it to pass than risk your life. I had a family member almost killed by lightning, and she was just standing in an open doorway. Standing in water is literally one of the worst things you can do in a thunderstorm. If he truly can’t see when it’s lightning like this, and the thunder isn’t a big clue, he should put a lightning detector app on his phone. Weatherbug has one built into their free weather app and I use it all the time. I’m worried one of his next videos is going to be titled, “Man Killed by Lightning while Unclogging Street Drain”. :( Yikes.

This gives me memories of childhood. I never did this exact thing, opening up drains, but I did things that were a little bit like this. My brother and I used to crawl through big metal storm drains, not while they were full of water, but when it was mostly dry. I was mostly scared of spiders. I found out later, as an adult, that toxic gases can build up, if you go really deep inside the drains, depending on how the drain is shaped. Some gases rise upwards, and some gases sink downwards, into high or low parts of the drain. My brother and I also built small dams in creeks, just dams made out of sticks and leaves.
