I f you ever find a 1g d-50/arrow/Max, the expensive parts are power steering, air conditioning, the dash bezel if uncut and the clock. There is a smaller demand for sport steering wheels , bucket seats and tach gauge clusters. all are pretty instant sellers. any diesel parts are gold plated.

@Jeremiah Blakley , thanks for the tips! these minis rarely show up in these neck of the woods, I've only seen a hand full of them in the central Texas area (any gen of these) 👍✌

Have you removed an engine from one of these before? Was it difficult? Starting a project on one of these things soon and the first thing it needs is a new engine
@CoverAllJoe3 жыл бұрын
@Brandon Ksicinski , Yes I have years ago when I rebuild the 4g64. It wasn't bad at all and I left the tranny on the truck. Pretty sure it might be even easier if you removed the engine and tranny. 👍😁

@@CoverAllJoe Awesome thanks!🙌 Also curious if you remember where you got your dash kit for the radio?😬 cant find a vehicle specific one online
@CoverAllJoe3 жыл бұрын
@Brandon Ksicinski ,didn't have a dash kit for the radio, sadly the previous owner chopped up the factory harness. What I did buy was the front speaker wire connector - www.ebay.com/itm/331612365638 and new bezel - www.ebay.com/itm/293361108779. Check out my other Mighty Max video where I install it! 👌😎

@CoverAllJoe3 жыл бұрын
@tol. jay zee , you mean the Mitsubishi Might Max? also known as L200, Triton? Over here we know it as the 4G54 engine. And yes, many people have installed turbo to these 2.4 L . Most commonly on the 4G63 swapped engine like I'm planning on doing. Check this page out for more info. 👌😎 www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin/showthread.php/5198-2-4L-sohc-turbo-potential

Have you ever had starting issues with your mighty max ? I have a 91’ that’s giving me starting issues.
@CoverAllJoe3 жыл бұрын
@BOB_818 , no starting problems yet! I would recommend to start with the basic- fuses, check for 12 volts at the starter (ignition/ crank and battery), bench test the starter etc. Your issue will be one of few things, bad starter, bad connection, wiring or ignition switch! Good luck and let us know any update
@bob_818_pedos_need_to_be_shott3 жыл бұрын
@@CoverAllJoe well the ignition was switched out, I switched out the starter like 2 months ago and it took care of the problem for a couple weeks then it started acting up again. It just clicks after turning the key. If I hit the starter with something it seems to slowly crank. Then I’ll wait a couple minutes and try it and it’ll usually start up.I’m in the process of getting the three squared fuses by the positive terminal to replace them. I’ve read on forums that it happens frequently.

Wow! In that case have you checked the ground connections to the chassis and block. I recently had a similar problem with a 1959 Ford F100. Ended up being lack of ground to the starter (matting surface to the block) it was super dirty. Take a look at that on your block, or sand off any paint on the matting surface on the starter. I'm sorry but it's kindda hard to give better diagnostic with not seeing the vehicle!

@@CoverAllJoe Actually thank you for taking the time to reply ! I upgraded the negative wire from the battery all the way to the body because when I first came across the starting problem the negative wire was corroded and burned after a few tries, but I did not sand the body down I only cleaned it since it looked okay. I’ve also been told I can bypass the switch with a wire under the steering wheel, so I may also try that. I was also told I could replace the starter with a “larger” one that would fit or one with more “power”.
