Donna you have made my week! I simply have to have that looper tool! I gave up on making beaded dangle because I never could get the loops formed correctly or cut close enough to not have a sharp edge. This tool looks like it will solve both problems for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! If you ever have time, I would like to see you do more videos on making assorted paper beads. My hand dexterity is not what it used to be. The bamboo rolling method doesn’t work so well for me these days. Instead, I use large straight cotter pins that are split down the middle. Insert paper end into the split, hold the split together to hold the paper and roll but not too tightly. You can find a variety of sizes at the hardware store and they are not very expensive.
@JunkJournalideasАй бұрын
Oh well im as happy as Larry!! The tool is really good, you some times have to adjust the little loop but we mostly need to hang something off it first, then close it right up. thanks so much for the tip about the cotter pins, I have some, SOMEWHERE lol I would have made one for the video only i cant remember where i put them lol! 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna

I have made the beads where you use the triangles of paper and get the stair-steps. I took a bamboo skewer and slit it. Put a glued bead down where the split ended and use another bead to close the end of the skewer once I put the paper in the slit. They’re still tough to keep on track. I like the tube bead idea and all the ways you can dress them up. Very good instructions. I’m STILL trying to get to making ANYthing!!! It seems I have lots of life interruptions and/or excuses. 😂❤. I sort, rearrange, change location!! But I need to MAKE something!!! Tube beads?😊❤❤ thanks for sharing!! Looking forward to the pen video and I can’t recall what else you said was coming soon - but that too!!😂

thanks hunny bunny! yep the paper will crack and if not, crease a bit, the little ticket i used started to crease but i glooded it and give it a little rub with my bone folder to settle it down, i wouldnt go to thick, nope. 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna

Great tips! Lovely beads and I will definitely be making some of these❤ Question… What size are the bead caps that you use for this size bead that you’re making?
@JunkJournalideasАй бұрын
thanks so much Laney, im glad you're going to make some you'll love them! I used around about an 8mm to fit the full length of paper rolled of an A4 paper. but i did use smaller as well when i had none the right size, just use less paper to make a skinny bead. 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna

Ohmygoodness...who knew bead making could be so simplified? Thank you Donna for such a great tutorial. I have tried paper bead making before and I always end up frustrated because they come out all wonky. I can't wait to try using your method. Now, I've got a very serious question for you, please share where you got that awesome glue gun that you're using, PLEASE!! I have such a hard time squeezing glue bottles. I've tried everything from syringes to "easy squeeze bottles" and still the fight goes on. I have moderate arthritis pain in both hands, so some tasks are all but impossible for me, that device you are using, I believe, would help me so much. Thank you for all you do to help us all become the best artist and creators we can be. xx
@JunkJournalideasАй бұрын
Hey Lin, thanks for your lovely compliment you always make me feel so good! that glue press is amazing!! here the amazon (affiliate) link hopefully it will go to USA amazon for you amzn.to/3YJDhgl and if it doesn't try this one www.craftonline.com.au/products/my-sweet-petunia-glue-press I have seen reviews that say it doesnt hurt their hand when using it and i have seen one lady say it did, i don't know how because I have had 3 brocken fingers and have lost my grip and I use it with zero discomfort and with 100% ease, its amazing how well it works. I put bearly art glue in the spare empty bottle when it arrived (with the thin nozzle) i love it, this video was the first time i used it too. worth every penny Lin 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
@hildapederson8174Ай бұрын
Hi, Donna. The beads are great! Thanks for sharing the tips and tricks. Where did you get the little gun that holds the glue? I love it and I think it would be easier on my hands.
@JunkJournalideasАй бұрын
Hi, Hilda. It's a My Sweet Petunia Precision Glue Press, I can confirm it does not hurt your hands, even though I have seen one creator says it hurts her wrist, i dont understand how, because when i tried to trigger discomfort where she was experiencing, there was zero. I have hyperextended my wrist and broken 3 fingers from a nasty fall and still no problem at all for me. I recommend it, a tip is that you can swap the tip from the full bottle of glue that comes with the pack to the empty bottle, and then fill the empty bottle with your own glue, and place the back of the bottle facing toward the top of the gun. because the back of the bottle is ever so slightly softer than the front. I put my bearly art glue in the empty bottle and put the sticker from my bearly art glue refill bottle, on the back of the empty bottle, to show it needs to face up to the top of the gun. (the back of your bottle becomes the front) when you squeeze the trigger it works perfectly. 🥰🐝🌹🦋 crafty hugs Donna
