@@JunkJournalideas Actually my bear making was starting in Australia long long time ago since my sister is living in the Gold Coast area, one day I saw a teddybear magazine at news agency and starting it with a free pattern on it. I still keep almost all of my little cutie at my home because I can't stand to let them go.

As soon as I saw the video, I knew I wanted to make these today! From watching another video on making boho beads, I thought I could use the plastic tubing from an old spray bottle instead of a paper straw as the center of the spool. I wanted some mini spools, so I cut the tubing to three-quarter inch pieces. I liked the look of the ones with the buttons much better, so I sewed two buttons together with neutral crochet thread with the tubing between them. No glue was necessary. Left a long tail of thread to tie to something later on. The best part was the tubing is quite sturdy, so very easy to work with. Made several wound with various colors of crochet thread. Loved the end result! Thank you so much Donna for a fantastic project!❤ from Brazil

oh yeh! great idea Catherine, I noticed you didn't really need glue in the button version i made as well, but, i used it just to keep the button centered. they do look so much better in person, i'm glad you got into making some right away and used your variation toboot!! ♡☆🦋 crafty hugs Donna

Miss Donna they are adorable and every one of them are so unique. You didn't show how to use the metal where there was a loop on both ends. So, is it like making jewelry dangles? Thank you so much for showing this project and God Bless you and your family. 🥰💖💖💖💖💖👍👍👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
@JunkJournalideas8 ай бұрын
thanks Rose, I didn't want to make this video into a jewelry type video so i didn't show the process. just replace the string with an eyelet post and use what ever glue will work to hold it in the center of the straw at the bottom and the top. (maybe E6000 or hot glue, but hot glue is tricky) once the glue is dry, cut the top post off and make an eyelet. do the same if you use a head post. god bless ♡☆🦋 crafty hugs Donna
