I've only heard of one over here on the west Coast that does it on the owners birthday but they are about 500 miles away from me so I haven't been able to make it on that day. Last one I heard of was 100 ft for $50 and They seem to clear the yard the day after. Fun video and quiet a few projects getting fixed up. . .

A junkyard in Maryland near DC(no longer in business)used to have an all you could haul in a wheelbarrow 25 feet for $75! The sales were always around a major holiday. Every trip out I had the wheelbarrow filled with airbags/dash parts,3-4 doors & a hood stacked on top. While not lifting anything made it easier the true change was balancing everything on one almost flat tire😱

It’s a pretty clever idea for a junkyard to do that. That’s how you get people to come in. There’s not many people bother to go do that that don’t know how anyway, but I taught a lot of people over the years to do that because it’s cheaper than buying new.
@dexterwallace372328 күн бұрын
I love both you guys for making this video. It's cool to see how other junkyards in other states run their business. ALL the junkyards here in Lansing is too square to have an event like that. I especially liked the 4-man team running the whole V8 and tranny down to the finish line for $240 ! That's a first! That V8 & tranny probably would've been $700 to $1500 normally. Kudos to you two . It seemed like the sidekicks with the wheelbarrows were stopping inches short of the finish line. It wasn't clearly defined i suppose but why not be inches after the line. Like the subaru engine they started at the front of the barriers and then finished in the middle of the seventh one. Epic crowd control says their bike rack barriers are 8.5 feet. So subaru engine wheelbarrow guy should be fired for sticking his Wheelbarrow under at 56 feet. Wheelbarrow guys aren't even doing the hard work and they're the ones cheating. Probably some employee saying "you're good" but visually. Hockey helmet 80s tailgate guy wtf, it was right at the line and if anything before it, just put it in hes after instead of ahead.
