straight crazy . here in tn im still looking for a d16y8 for my 97 civic ex sedan . the 2 at the local junkyard have been there for almost 15 years and still have euro taillights . the esay findings on the west coast . 😅you guys are spoiled. you dont see c.r.x. or e.f. in the town im at north of nashville.

Man Dana. That be accord heaven for me. Manual k24a4 transmissions great for k swaps and boost being a long gear ratio 5 spd, non v f22s and vtec f23as they flow so good. Great for making 1000hp easy. They are big block sohcs, get a Delta camshaft and make power on low boost. Maxpeedingrods makes h beam rods for them. Brent at pfispeed a while back made over 1000hp on a non v f22 sohc under 40 psi with a simple Delta 272 regrind camshaft. They are stout engines. Not many people know that. #savethesohc. F23a heads flow a lot of cfm believe me or not and they come with roller rockers. Maxpeedingrods makes h beams for the k20a3 so now you can build a k20a3 to hold 800+ hp without changing the crankshaft. You buy nippon k20a2 spec pistons, put a crv ppa head half lock or fully lock vtec and done. More options. Very fast budget builds.

I can't believe the way people screw things up in those wrecking yards. Lots of good parts are ruined for no reason. I left Fremont/Newark 20 years ago, and it wasn't like that yet, at least to the extent it is now. I'll be visiting the Bay Area in a few weeks, and that will probably be my last trip there. I'm in the Mid West now.

You should try Napa aluminum brightener it works great for making aluminum look new again without having to paint it. I like the raw aluminum look over paint personally but figured I recommend it to ya.

To keep the numbers on the transmission tape around the plate and then put Vaseline and remove the tape and spray the trans. Once the paint is dry wipe off the Vaseline. Bam perfect transmission with plate.
