Another jaw dropping drummer from Japan is Dainashi. Normally he is doing covers of gaming music with sometimes awesome double kick. But check his cover of X-Jspans fast song but the cover is in 140% speed. And he is fun to follow, a real drumartist.

I like the (momentary) breaks as much as her drumming, (which is beyond awesome), Both sticks are either are straight up, or even slightly behind her ears, ready to slam the crap out of something. There's pent up pure aggression, eager anticipation, and then she simply cuts loose with pure energy, bordering on unbridled fury.

Wow a lot of Japanese women musicians have caused many a musician to contemplate their choices in life so fear not just enjoy yourself and realize that the female Japanese talent pool is endless and the competition is intense. I believe that up to 70% of those in the elite music schools and academies in Japan are female. Junna now is with a newly formed band (Kaminagi Alice) so we will get to see her in action. You should check out Haruna/Lovebites, Akane/Band Maid, Mari/Mary's Blood and a slew of other talented drummers who are now being challenged by many of the younger ones coming up. The competition is so intense you are looking at the survivors who are the very best and Junna is one of them. Even the Dragon Force drummer called this the best cover he has ever seen!!!

Hey Wave, Thanks for doing the reaction to JUNNA. I recommended her to you, but probaby others did as well. She is not super well known, but should be! She's awesome (as are you)! The range of ages I've seen for her are 23-29 (Looks 13). I thought she was 22. Her birthday is Sept 26 though, according to the profile on the TRiDENT Band Members Profile (She's no longer in that band). She is an absolute BEAST! She has to be the MOST ENTERTAINING Drummer in the world. She beats the drums like they owe her money! First time I watched it I wanted to dive for cover. I thought there was a machine gun going off when she started on the pedals! How can she not pass out from exhaustion after this? For your own pleasure you should watch the DragonForce Drummer @Gee Anzalone's reaction (you probably already have). If I remember correctly he states that she has done the best cover of this song that he has ever seen. He is so excited watching her. Love to see when the original masters watch covers of their songs. Someone said when she takes a drink of water she's spoofing the original video of the guitarists I believe. You're a great drummer! You might be better though if you were born a Japanese Girl... That seems to be the key lately...(Just kidding about the second part!). You have the right attitude. It's all about having have FUN!...C'Ya! Thanks Again!

@@davidhaney1394 That's JUNNA the singer. JUNNA is about 24 ½ now (24 on 8/26/21). People commonly confuse her birthday with JUNNA Sakai the Japanese singer, who was born in 2000, and is about 21. I looked very hard for her birth date and could not find it. Following is from: kprofiles.com/trident-members-profile/ "Birthday: September 26" (no year) and "- She started playing drums at age 15." Age estimate comes from a comment made by a viewer who said he saw her live and asked her how long she had been playing and she said 8 years. (15+8 = 23) that was in mid-late 2020. So her birthday should be 8/26/97.

Beware of japanese drummers, they are beast (and not only drummer). A lot starts playing at a very young age, like 5 years old so you can imagine the rest On other side you must hear some live performance of a drummer like Haruna. She is a little storm behind her huge drum kit playing metal with her band Lovebites. She plays like a beast, or also Murata who plays in the band Nemophila. They do a recent cover of "Kurenai" by X-Japan and she nailed the whole song. Or Aldious, her drummer is great: Marina Bozzio and don´t tell me the surname don´t ring some bells. From years ago, some of the best metal and hard rock bands are coming from Japan

I guess she would now be about 26~28, Japanese are usually small, petit and well made think of a Chinese equivalent Bruce Lee. perfect for what she does - no surplus fat or muscle totally dedicated to her craft and with a mind that easily manages all the tasks in performance. I have a feeling some aspects of traditional Indian percussion may be what she practices as she mouth what she has coming next - hence the almost perfect timing. I listen to her 3 to 7 times a week and tears of joy come to my eyes every time. Watch out for when she finishes for that "nod of satisfaction" meaning 'I nailed it again through practice and conditioning'... Peace Love and Light

@Gideon_the_Seeker3 жыл бұрын
@@lazylion1421 No, actually, he did not. Rahim Rahmat is correct. The Japanese language has extremely consistent rules regarding pronunciation, especially their vowels. A rōmaji letter "U" is pronounced with a "oo" sound as in too, who, few etc. The double "NN" is called a geminate consonant and the simplest way to explain that is to pronounce both "N"'s with a slight hint of a pause between them.
@lazylion14213 жыл бұрын
@@Gideon_the_Seeker yes, actually he did, pretty much. You’re right about the the double n, but you will not hear the “oo” (or “ou” like in the word “you”) sound in Japanese. The “u” in her name is pronounced more like in “cup”, short and crisp.

A contrast to Paul, George, and John's open and emotional(No, no crying or othersuch, just that you could see they enjoyed performing) playing. Ringo was , perhaps a clown, certainly the most "out there" member, but his being in the lineup was all for the better.
