I'm always surprised how easy it seems to be for her to play even really demanding songs. She is such a ray of sunshine. ☀️🔥 Offhand, I can only think of two drummers who show roughly a similar amount of fun while playing. It honestly surprises me how few reactors get the joke where she drinks something during the solo. I remember the first time I watched the MV for Through the Fire and Flames, there was so much going on, I could barely keep up just watching Herman Li's fingers, and it all just blended together into "Those guys are playing very fast". So when Sam Totman decides to slooowly take a drink between shredding, it was very memorable.

i wonder if that snare is original to that drum set. again look at the muscle in her calves and forearms. she has been drumming a while. i have heard she is 20 although she looks 14. again i say note she never hits the rim and never breaks a stick despite how hard she is drumming. she also never misses a beat. in my practice i found it hard to get my feet to drum one beat and my arms another but she does it effortlessly.

If it helps you to know, making a cover to this is easy as you’re able to rip the backing tracks straight off of guitar hero, since this is the last song in the game. But outside of taking out a couple of bars she’s played the entire song and even added her own fills in that aren’t in the original track. Yeah, she’s that good. Gee Anzalone, the current drummer for Dragonforce, said that this is his favorite cover of the song, because of how much fun she has, versus all other drummers concentrating so hard so they don’t miss a beat. Junna not only doesn’t miss a beat, but creates a few of her own, and has fun while doing it.

I'm surprised you're aware of DragonForce but not familiar with Through The Fire And Flames. TTFAF is to DragonForce much like Tom Saywer is to Rush, as Stairway to Heaven is to Led Zepplin, or Back in Black is to AC/DC. If you watch the original video of this song, you'll understand the reference where she takes that break where she takes a drink. Do check out some videos of her old band, that's currently named Trident. The MV for Voltage still has Junna in it. Their new drummer Nagisa is also fantastic.
