Because of BL obsessed people I do believe that people romanticize their life and they see that too. So they're having to leave with this expectation, which cause them to fight. I loved that you shared this. My husband and I did a similar thing. We realized, we're two completely different people, with different upbringings and strengths/weaknesses. We wanted to make sure our individual growth would weave into our growth as partners and keep us moving forward. It is really helpful to sit down to express your needs and come up with a game plan together. It's helped us a lot and it's definitely something we revisit, whether to update or to celebrate growth. 'House Rules' or whatever you want to call them are a good thing at the start of living together, You will find as time goes on your rules will change so that your actions will often compliment each other naturally rather than 'by the book'. Of course you are two different people but you want to spend and share your life and home together. Disagreements will happen - 17 years on me and mine can still fall out but we are best friends again the same day. I wish you guys happiness and success in whatever you decide to do.
