MY favourite Reviewer is BACK with my FAVE artist!!! 🥰 THANK YOU SO MUCH for this delicious reaction. It was music to my ears to listen to Junsu and then your comments! Poor Junsu though, I think his voice was a bit stripped as he was doing two concerts in a row. I love those medleys and now that I’m more familiar with Junsu’s musicals I can recognise them better. What a joy this was. Thank YOU for giving me an early Christmas prezent! You never disappoint ❤

I just love how you are on point with your reactions. I loved you knew the lyrics mattered for I Belong To Me and Golden Star. Also, you knew right away that you've covered The Shadows Grow Longer. It lends credibility to your channel and builds trust with your subscribers. The Shadows Grow Longer grew on me too. That's so interesting that you liked the intense "metal" part so much during Why Can't You Love Me. It kinda makes me so tense and on edge, and I hold my breath until we go to the next part. haha. Maybe, I should relax and try to enjoy that as well. Always pleasure listening to/watching you appreciate his music. He is about to start his new musical, Aladdin, and I am so sad that I won't get to see that. But, hopefully, there are some videos that become available and we can enjoy those some day! Thank you always!

It was my comment ✋🏻. I wrote that he had no classical training not that he had no formal vocal training. Didn't realise it would be misleading... Only wrote it because of your comment in regards to his classical training showing lol. He was in SM so of course he's had vocal training, in fact they had pretty famous vocal coaches there. That's pop, ballad and rnb though... From my knowledge, arguably very different. What he did have was coaching from musical directors during rehearsals like any other musical actors. Along with probably advice from fellow and experienced musical colleagues. I'd hardly call that classically trained though, don't want to offend people who spent years learning music theory and everything. The strange thing is idols often struggle in the transition from pop to musical. Straining their voice and whatnot. This dude finds singing musicals less taxing 😅. Like how??

Thanks for clarifying! Usually formal vocal training employs some level of classical technique even if the genre itself is not classical, since bel canto is such a solid foundation for healthy technique (essentially using the entire body as a vessel rather than just the vocal chords). However it’s possible his coaches never presented the techniques to him as ‘classical’ as such, and the classical sounds I hear in his voice are simply a result of good practice and intuition.

Golden star, the song you are commenting on around the 16:40 mark is the song that made him want to perform in the musical Mozart were he debuted as a musical actor and became a star in that field. He always mentions how the lyrics really affect him, and I just found it amazing how he always without fail conveys that! His concerts are always a delight! I highly recommend you listen to his ebs space concert, the arrangements there and his performance is as always, outstanding ❤
