Not that it excuses what he did, but remember 3 years prior, he was diagnosed with depression, and he’s in a mental health dilemma. I sincerely hope that he gets the help he needs. I feel like he wouldn’t fake his depression to get sympathy. Men’s mental health is a real thing

I didn't know he was diagnosed with depression, Men's mental health is important but then when you see that he posted about it but then he was arrested a few days later it could look like a ploy to get people to feel sorry for him, Now that i know he's been diagnosed with it then i won't bring it up in further updates of this story

Also his ex-wife was pretty abusive and was also financially draining him. That could explain why he was doing all of this. And he did mention that he dropped out of school, so finding jobs other than VA/Acting would be tough. But I'm glad that he's getting therapy.

I was pretty disappointed in him when I learned about this, but also felt bad for him too because the abuse he suffered from his ex-wife. I did read somewhere that she financially abused him and he was also suffering from chronic depression (I saw his tweet last year.). But I was so pissed at him. He could've done any other job, why scam people!?

To put my 2 cents in this conversation is he is still innocent until proven guilty in a court of law but looking at the articles and the 2 arrests it looks damning. However Junya is considered innocent until proven guilty. In terms of whether or not that long tweet of him being depressed and asking for fan mail is true or not. I choose to believe that what he wrote was true only because he was diagnosed for depression years ago when he was doing Garo in an interview. However if it gets revealed in court that he used his diagnosis to take advantage of people then that’s low. We all want answers but the sad gospel truth is we will never get those answers. I’m sure fans want junya’s fellow co stars to say something but I’m sure they want to stay out of it or been told to not say anything. I feel bad for everyone who is affected especially his kids.

Whatever the case is, I have no doubt he'll be able to bounce back. I mean, how many well known/beloved actors here in America have had really shady and just plain horrible pasts that they managed to rise up from? Mark Wahlberg was a totally racist jerk. Jared Padalecki got charged with 2 counts of assault. And they're not the only ones; Snoop Dog, Danny Trejo, Robert Downey Jr., Tim freakin' Allen! (No seriously, google it). Sure, some of this happened in their days before stardom, but that still belies a greater truth; Hundreds of people have chosen to look past all this and continue to love them. These guys were all given a second chance, because there were still people out there who believed they deserve them. So what it all boils down to is whether or not you believe Junya deserves one too? Idk how other people are going to end up feeling about him or what they end up believing. All I know is, I believe he deserves another chance

@@turtleboy991 the entertainment industry, the fans and in general, the japanese society are known to be VERY prejudiced. so unless ikeda is proven to be completely clean of ALL of his allegations, the stigma will practically stays with him his entire life.

A lot of Japanese news sites have reported on him, They are very vocal on this and wouldn't make a mistake, Plus the rearrest is a big thing, He's been dropped by his agency and replaced on the anime he was working on so I think they have the right guy for it
