The more I think about it, and the more info I hear surrounding it, the more I’m convinced that the 1994 clean up story deserves to be made as an interquel film. It has so much potential from both a visual perspective and from a horror movie perspective that could incorporate some elements from The Chaos Continues in terms of the broken fences and crumbling buildings in an environment that constantly feels unsafe at all times. This is begging to be made into a film, and is exactly the direction that Universal needs to make going forward.

That cliche has been done to death. However, if they went with the core ideas of TCC, and they treat it as a true horror film, then I think it could potentially be something special.

Personally, I still find JP: The Game to be soft canon, mostly since we know that some things from the game did happen in film canon proper. Perhaps a remake of it or novelization or something to make it fit better is what we need. The Telltale game is one of my favorite non-film entries from Jurassic Park, and it's hard to see it not being taken as seriously (though I know that it was not 100% canon to begin with). Speaking of novelizations, I actually did a fan novelization of Trespasser to make it more in line with film canon, if you would ever be interested.

@@allthelittleworms I very much agree. I love the Jurassic Park trilogy more than the Jurassic World trilogy. And that's pretty sad for me to say this. Because I really did like Jurassic World when it first came out back in 2015 and I was looking forward to what happens next. When Fallen Kingdom came out three years later, I thought it was ok. The ending is where I was most intrigued. Battle At Big Rock is where it truly had me very hyped for Dominion. It honestly had me thinking about all of the possibilities that can happen, notes they could've taken from the books by Michael Crichton, and what to expect in the next movie. And when Dominion finally came out after waiting for four years since Fallen Kingdom, I seriously could not believe Colin Trevorrow made a movie so unbelievably bad, it honestly really frustrated me because I had so much high hopes for this movie.

It seems like in answer to what happened to Grant after JP 3 is that he went back to digging and basically just dived back into his work. Though a sinister idea could be that Misrani/Ingen was behind the dry up in Grant’s funding that he alludes to in Dominion.

I’ve gotta honest about the franchise that has been biggest letdown is the serial inconsistency of the behavioral patterns of the animals, specifically, the raptors. Not only were they the first ones we were introduced but also educated about as far as intelligence. But, despite evolving into reproducing organism in Gen1 & maintain demonstrating in graphic detail what Grant warned us of, while still in full custody of the original park. Outside of a pretending to be incubated in JP3, was there any examples displaying higher IQ? Or did they just devolved further & further into ACME acres ancestors? Why are they growing easier & easier to manipulate?

11:26 I may have a few recurring nitpicky issues with the JP movie franchise, but it does my heart good to know the Dilophosaurs were very successful survivors. Rather tangentially encourages my headcanon belief that the reason Dodgson's boat was deserted at the end of the Lost World novel was thanks to the crew being massacred offscreen by my favorite venomous dinosaurs on Isla Sorna. 🦖

obviously the books aren't 100% about capitalism but it's kinda difficult to overstate how much they obviously are. they were literally planning to make proprietary dinosaur food so consumers had to pay them to keep their pet dinosaurs alive - nothing more capitalistic than that, the constant cutting of corners so more money didn't have to be spent, at the expense of safety (half of the buildings have sloppily bolted on metal bars because they were attacked by animals at one point or another) and again, one of the main reasons nedry got involved with dodgson was the poor working conditions and pay. I do think there's a lot of other subtext there too, obviously, about mankind's desire to control nature and the futility of that desire, but I don't think it makes sense to say it's not heavy handed about the anticapitalist themes. jurassic park has one of the most prominent "big evil corporation" tropes in cinema history

I appreciate the inclusion of “The Evolution of Claire” by Tess Sharpe but how’d you know it was canon? Is her series “The Maisie Lockwood Adventures” also canon? I hope so; it is good lore. But slightly sad that “The Evolution of Claire” is included but “Lego Jurassic World:Legends of Isla Nublar” isn’t. Ev of Claire leaves Claire rightly shaken and doesn’t allow much for her “previous date” with Owen. While Legends is Lego, it rightly demonstrates Hoskins hiring Grady (Jurassic World:Fallen Kingdom Survival Guide) and a relationship between Owen and Claire pre-Jurassic World. Just curious on your thoughts

Actually the Boneshaker events still happened the only thing is that in the game there’s more than 4 Herrerasaurus’s, how exactly is that possible when on DPG there’s only 4? Easy: Off-screen most of the Dinos have asexually reproduced just like how Malcolm predicted and how Grant and the kids found the Raptor eggs, note these reproductions have happened offscreen WAY before the events of the first movie. Same thing can be said with the Dilos

The raptor nest in the first movie upset me more than the trex killing everyone on the ship in the second movie. If there were only the three raptors in the pen then how did they lay and hatch the eggs outside their pen?

My guess would be the fact that they bred in their pen, since the security measures weren't made for such small dinosaurs, they escaped and then grew rapidly because of InGen genetically engineering the original raptors, then they bred more

It doesn't help that the raptors being smart and already getting off the island was the reason the events in the book happen it's easy to imagine any possible scenarios but I feel like the movie doesn't do a good job by itself. Even this explanation would mean there was a pack of raptors just chilling out on the island and nobody noticed but the movie established them as badass killers that must remain contained at all cost.

@@Loreweavver well the book went a lot more in depth, especially since there was 37 raptors on the island and we didn't see all of them, so it is very possible that they could have been hiding well, just I don't know where they would be hiding at, the book says it was in a cave, so my guess would be something like a cave that was well hidden in the dense jungle
