It is disappointing that it actually seems to be regressing to being even further from accurate than the Jurassic franchise, which at least carries some respect for the animals, but it's honestly just nice to see dinosaur media besides Jurassic Park. There are no inaccuracies in Jurassic Park. The creatures they made are entirely their own. They state this in the original book and movies. They had to fill in missing or broken DNA strands with various modern animals to make it work. They literally say the animals they made are not the real thing in the book and movies. 2:09, there’s just a few problems with the triceratops here Problem 1: a real triceratops actually wouldn’t have cheek horns, at least, not when fully mature Problem 2: a fully mature triceratops also wouldn’t have those little triangular horns all over its frill, it would lose them as it got older Other than that, these are some really good dinosaur models, good job on all of them

Actually the triceratops in the movie was most likely a juvenile and so the accurate version is a juvenile as well!

This was great! Really want to see more vids with the other movies😎👍 Fun fact: The Dilophosaurus in Crichton’s Novel was 10 Ft tall. Though I don’t know why it was made smaller in the film🤔
@thanujadamithangani72652 жыл бұрын
They did it in order to avoid confusion with Velociraptor which is ironically way smaller than its JP counterpart just like how the real Dilophosaurus was bigger than its film counterpart.
@MB329042 жыл бұрын
@@thanujadamithangani7265 they should have made the velociraptors smaller to the size of deinonychus (which the raptors are based on) & make dilophosaurus as big as it's real life counterpart

@dweebteambuilderjones76273 ай бұрын
I had an idea for that. The _Brachiosaurus_ would be replaced with _Apatosaurus_ (which actually COULD rear up), the _Dilophosaurus_ is a baby that Nedry abuses, and its cries attract its parents who then proceed to eat him, and the _Velociraptor_ are _Deinonychus_ . Also, _Stegosaurus_ would be spelled correctly.

As iconic as the T. Rex and Raptors (as well as the other dinosaurs) were in the Jurassic park franchise, I much prefer the scientifically accurate depictions with non-pronated wrists, brighter and more diverse range of color, chubbier physiques and behaviors more akin to how animals are like in real life.
@germanomagnone2 жыл бұрын
0:59 I have a personal hypothesis on the dilophosaurus, it works as follows: "perhaps" the dilophosaurus puppies had "the umbrella" like the chlamydosaurus to terror the enemies, which over the years was absorbed, replaced by the crests. The "poisonous spit" could have been a "defensive vomiting" as in the chicks of the Northern Fulmar (Fulmarus Glacialis), the Northern chicks Fulmar vomit on the Agressors to remove them. I believe that the "defensive vomiting" of the dilophosaurus had been a sort of "marker" for parents, so the "bully" was "spanked" by adults.

Something I've always pointed out to people about real life velociraptor's size: just because they're smaller than the movies depict, doesn't mean they're less deadly. Now instead of one in a corridor chasing you, there's probably three.
