hi guys greetings from usa 🇺🇸 as american i seen this as a kid too when you watch it now its darker nowadays for dinosaur movie, gives the idea how to not mess with ancient history & how dinosaurs can be relentless

I saw this 6 times in theaters as a kid with different people almost every time. That's how epic it was. When CGI was brand new and blended beautifully with practical effects. Not completely depended on as it is now. I will never forget feeling the steps of the T-Rex as the water ripples...now that's chaos. One of the greatest cinematic experiences ever.

I watched Jurassic Park 10 times at the theatre in1993 just for the T-Rex scene. It was the greatest experience ever.

I was 7 and my elementary school was directly across the street from a movie theater lol. I saw it probably 6-7 times. On the weekend, the neighbor kids and I would sneak into the theater via an unlocked emergency door in the back 😂. Look up the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland CA. Truly a good time to be a kid 😊

I hate you in an envious way. I was 1 when this came out, but i would give ANYTHING to be able to go back and experience this movie for the first time in theaters.

Points for being the only reactor so far to point out that the kids don't know what NOT to do around dinosaurs! They hadn't heard Grant saying anything about T rex vision being movement based (though....it wasn't. T rex apparently had excellent eyesight) so how can you call them stupid for moving around like deranged mini snack cakes while there's a giant Toothy Deathmonster yelling at them? They are small children in a movie by a director who has shown from his very first blockbuster that he is not afraid to slaughter small children.

People nowadays will never understand what kind of impact that movie had. It is truly a shame.... They can´t understand it

I love how Alexandra understood and mentioned that Lex didn’t know any better when she made that wrong move of turning on a flashlight during that T-Rex first appearance scene.

The two 'opening' ends of the seat belts in the rough helicopter landing at the beginning, followed by Dr. Grant 'finding a way' to make them work anyway... foreshadowing. 😎

I was 13 when this film came out, my siblings and friends and I wen to see this every Friday for a month. The car scene with the T-Rex will forever live in my coming of age memories. The graphics were something few of us had ever seen to that date.

I was 9 when it came out and I remember the Trex/car scene was terrifyingly loud and vibrated the entire theater.

It doesn't matter how often I've seen Jurassic Park, that scene in the maintenance bunker when the Raptor shows up behind Ellie will always get me with the jumpscare. Side notes: The dinosaur sounds in this movie were made by combining sounds made by living animals and everyday objects. The Tyrannosaurus rex, affectionately known as Rexy, was a mix of elephant calf vocalizations (roar, snarls and growls), with koala, lion & tiger sounds and alligator gurgles thrown in and a dog playing with a rope toy (shaking the Gallimimus to death). The Dilophosaurus was a mix of hawk, swan, howler monkey and rattlesnake sounds. The adult Raptors were a mix of a walrus chest roar and dolphin mating scream, while the hatchling was a mix of owlet and fox kit sounds. The Brachiosaurus vocalizations were slowed down donkey brays, while the sneeze was a mix of an active fire hydrant and a whale breathing through its blowhole(s). (There's an "s" in parentheses because depending on whether or not whales have teeth or baleen plates (think of them as biological water filters) in their mouths, whales have either one of two blowholes) The Gallimimus's chief sound effect was made using the recorded calls of a mare (female horse) in heat, while their movements were inspired by those of ostriches. A good portion of this movie was shot on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Whenever I hear Hammond ask "Who's hungry?", my first reaction every time is "Not after hearing the Raptors rip the cow apart." Lego released 30th anniversary sets in honor of Jurassic Park and the one I have is based on Dennis Nedry's encounter with the Dilophosaurus.

you'll also love the sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park (my personal favourite of the franchise), also has very iconic Jeff Goldblum moments and even more dino action

I definitely suggest checking out the sequels. The 2nd is also based on a Michael Crichton novel, but the 3rd is more Jurassic Worldy, if that makes any sense

I love it when people go into Jurassic Park thinking it's a kids movie. The books were straight up horror.

Yep. I've seen it as a little kid in theaters.. Our whole family went, it was an event. But then I was scared shtless for like a year after that. When I was walking alone somewhere I would always look for possible hiding places, trees to climb and escape routes, just in case a T-Rex was to jump out from behind the corner.. And when I thought I didn't have enough margin for a potential escape I'd be stressed af and walk so fast.. :D

you should have heard the t-rex roar in a theater. they had the volume cranked so loud the seats shook.

I'm glad you like JP :) It's my favorite movie! If you haven't already watched it, I recommend JW's Camp Cretaceous series (which, despite being more for kids, feels much more like a proper continuation of JP than the JW movies). Also, if you wanna learn about real dinos (including birds), I highly recommend Darren Naish's "Dinosaurs: How They Lived and Evolved" (the best adult intro to the whole story of dinos) & "Dinopedia: A Brief Compendium of Dinosaur Lore" (the best adult guide to dinos & their cultural impact since the 1970s). P.S. To answer your questions/concerns: -2:25: Grant & Sattler are paleontologists (as opposed to archaeologists: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2eym4huituMa5Y ). -24:38: Not necessarily. Had it not been raining at 20:56, the T. rex would've been able to smell & find them. -25:10: They drove faster & the T. rex was tired of running. She may be able to run fast, but not for long.

Sometimes you need to rewatch the og trilogy to remind yourself how much shit the jurassic world movies are (well ... aside from dominion at least)
If yall think this is good you need to read the book by michael crichton, in my opinion its way better than the movie, and VERY different. You wont be disappointed in that read

I could not disagree more, the movie outclasses the book time and again
@Pachyzookeeper2 ай бұрын
@@Connor8609 dont get me wrong the movie is great, but the book just fills in so much more detail, theres an unexplored horror element, plus alot of stuff from the second movie happening in the first book (trying to keep It vague unless they read it)
