The guy who designed this park really knows how to theme. One of the best looking parks I’ve seen. But, the coasters looked like they were designed by a young child. I’m far from a great coaster created on Planet Coaster, but even my coaster designing would greatly improve those coasters.

I'd really recommend watching at least some real life coaster POVs every week, not only to him but to the whole community. I feel like at least 80-90% of people don't really know what a coaster is supposed to do and look like in the first place.

@pandiman19416 жыл бұрын
That would be nice me personally I've been obsessed with coasters every since I was a kid. I am actually in college so that I can become a roller coaster designer because I have such passion for them I also travel to ride lots of coasters I know a lot of names for different typos of coasters I also know that a hyper coaster isn't a giga tel it reaches the 300ft height range etc but I also know everyone doesn't have an eye for a coaster to some individuals a coasters does some of the craziest things and I find it kinda cool to see how others see them. But yes ! I agree this should happen for those that want a more realistic approach.
@otherbully6 жыл бұрын
Cant count the times ive seen people on planet coaster try to put in an inversion without dropping into it and then getting confused when it couldn't complete the loop. And so many people who don't understand that you have the bank the turns. In real life, a visitor could break their neck or the train could hop the track if you don't bank it. Just small stuff like that. Physics stuff that helps it flow.
@2712075 жыл бұрын
I think this builder's only concern was how to fit the coasters in and through the scenery and have them look good in the park. As opposed to making them good rides. Since it's his first park, it's not odd to me if he only took one aspect of building into consideration. I'm a beginner myself and it is kind of challenging to think about everything from every angle. You really have to think ahead. I don't know how many of the buildings are blueprints from the workshops (I don't use any myself, so I'm not familiar), but if he built some/most himself, it's an impressive first park.

Guys, give the man a break he said it was his first park and this is a video game that lets you use your imagination in different ways that YOU choose .... not a real roller coaster designing software. Channel 5 bro I like what you do but this review was a little harsh I understand as a individual you have to be ready to get feedback but give em a break some of the things you said I would have just messaged him personally because he could get discouraged from this, but anyway I just wanted to remind you what this game is really about not so much as what it's turned into.
@Channel5Gaming6 жыл бұрын
I don't think I was harsh at all, I mentioned the coaster designs weren't that good and even chuckled over a few cause they were outrageous and would kill you. I then provided feedback on how to improve them and even commended the artistic skills gone into the scenery and decorating. Part of providing feedback means being critical and honest. Had I not mentioned it at all and instead praised it, how is he going to learn for his 2nd park? Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent. Unless someone provides you with feedback to grow. If we all went around in life praising peoples mistakes, they would have nothing to evaluate and strive to improve on for the next time. For most of us, this wouldn't discourage us, it would encourage us as we now have something to go back to the drawing board with. Not to mention some praise on what we did right to apply along side.
@Oggy3000_6 жыл бұрын
Being harsh is a good thing when it comes with advice. If Jonny just says everything is perfect, nobody would ever improve in the game because they all think they are perfect. As long as there is some positive feedback, negative feedback should come at the same rate (unless the thing being looked at is exactly perfect with every micro detail done perfectly.) Personally I love getting negative feedback on stuff as it drives me onwards to make sure what I make is much better.
@Channel5Gaming6 жыл бұрын
@Oggy3000 I think what your trying to say is: Constructive feedback often is looked at as a negative, when infact it's a positive. Negative feedback doesn't really exist in my opinion. Being negative is just being negative, which usually means insulting or diminishing the value of something. Which is something i certainly try to always avoid unless it's good humor or harmless play.
@Oggy3000_6 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was what I was trying to say. Being rude to something in an offensive way is definitely a bad thing. Sorry, my bad!

Over all I liked it. Really liked the theme. Yea, I know that in some of Planet Coaster's videos, and this was no exception, that the designer needs to make the movement of the coasters more realistic. And as a builder in Second Life it bugs me whenever I see plants poking through things like in the metal tracks, side of the builds or the coaster cars themselves; but having said all that, again over all, I liked and enjoyed this video.

Okay so not bad of a theme Idea, and I do loved the Jurassic Park Franchise. I will be seeing Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and buy the new Jurassic Park: Evolution for Xbox One when it comes out, that'll be a nice After Birthday gift for me to buy, Since my birthday is in May. And both the movie and game come out in June. The only problem I have is the person did use the quotes from Jurassic Park Operation Genesis. But in all great park Idea. I may play roller coaster tycoon 3, and build up my own Jurassic park theme area. Sure you only get so many different kinds of Dinosaurs but not all of theme. But I can make themed rides, like jungle cruisers, or maybe a river adventure. Plus maybe a few other things like a walk in zoo type theme. Also fun fact. In the 1993 Jurassic park Movie John Hammond said the Jungle Cruisers were one of the many rides in the park and later down the year the rest will come online. Which means Jurassic Park: River Adventure at Universal Studios is somewhat of a tie in if you think about it.

@Phaota6 жыл бұрын
Too bad you have to download a ton of additional assets just to make the park function properly. The creator should have just incorporated it all into the full download on the Steam Workshop page. Great looking park nonetheless. Those dinosaurs are fantastic. That second lift on the Raptor Escape coaster was unnecessary. The first drop would have carried the momentum to the finish. There were some overly sharp cornering on it as well. Wow, that "Visitor Centre Ruins" one was seriously harsh to watch. Totally agree that it is great in concept, but not in execution, especially the three lift hills when it only needed one. Also, the door closes on the cars as they come into the station at the end, which you can see at 21:20. It sure doesn't look like any smoothing was done on the coasters in general, more so the Aviary one. That Indominus Rex coaster was hilariously comical in its jankiness. I'm surprised the cars even stayed on the track. Most of the money the park takes in would go to lawsuit payments for injuries and possible deaths.

My apologies Jonny and to the builder but this has to be the worst park ever. I've been honest on rating parks and coasters but this seems rushed to submit for a spotlight. My advice to the builder that I agree with Jonny that all these coasters need heavy work and smoothing to get yourself out of the red. The more your coaster is in the red, the less coaster riders you get that if this park or coaster were to be real, this park would be shut down due to lawsuits by ride injuries. These coasters need to be refurb and smoothed asap, plz take my and Jonny's advice.
