It wouldn’t if the story and characters weren’t solid as great as the dinosaurs and effects are. If people didn’t care about the characters and the dialogue wasn’t great it wouldn’t last.

@@Mr.Goodkat running with the galimimus(they weren't chasing them) before hiding and observing the t-rex hunting food. Speeding with the car for 3 minutes from the t-rex, and then the final 15 minutes where they are being attacked by raptors, chased by them etc. The most entirety of the movie is either appreciation for the creatures, or trying to get out of the island, not being chased unstop for most of the time. You do indeed need to rewatch the movie.
@Mr.Goodkat2 жыл бұрын
@@MigWith OK but it feels longer than 15 minutes and that's what matters, it has very little suspense in it too and instead of the final scene being the greatest (always wise) it gets it's best scene out of the way when the T-Rex first breaks loose so it feels anti-climatic.

Treating the dinosaurs like animals and not monsters (or domesticated raptors) is one of many reasons the new films don't hold a candle to the original. That and Phil Tippet's animation direction to make them believable
@ThelegoLord2 жыл бұрын
Not that I have a problem with that but I kinda miss how dinosaurs actually used to be terrifying. That’s what made them iconic, them treating Dino’s as normal animals is a nice new trope but it kinda killed the fear of what made dinosaurs scary. Video games like dino crisis, Turok, King Kong and Jurassic the hunted followed the terror trope and this is the main reason why many people got into dinosaurs including myself. Jurassic park was the foundation of it all but the video games that followed after built it. With the new Jurassic world movies kinda wanted to imply the whole animal political movement which I feel like killed the whole scary dinosaur vibe for me.

The thing I liked about the original Jurassic Park was that it felt like real life. It felt as if it could actually happen the way it played out. The near misses and stunts seemed believable. The story line was relatively simple and believable. It had a more gradually building, sci-fi feel to it. I think as the franchise went on that got more and more lost in the films. They became more about the action and CGI than anything else. One thing I cant stand is when a movie just becomes all about showing off CGI skills... Like we get it, computers are awesome..

Phil Tippett still contributed a lot to the production, it was actually a clever idea to keep him even when it was decided to go for CGI . Nostalgia is what this movies brings back for me. The original and best Jurassic park movie ever, perfect cast (R.i.p Hammond) and better Cgi than the new movies to date.

Nothing like the Goat behind Jurassic Park. Steven Spielberg! Every shot is something.

This is equivalent to Tom Cruise or Kevin Kostner or... Sam Neil. Loved that moment!

Stan Winston was (and always will be) the genius that helped the first Jurassic Park stand the test of time technologically. He also worked on the Terminator films, and those are great movies too.

Jurassic Park and The Lost World are masterpeices and a perfect duology! The recent films however have been complete disasters (except maybe Fallen Kingdom) and have humiliated the T-Rex as its mascot!

JP3 was the last decent one, JW was simply nostalgic bait of a trilogy and turned the movies into action movies

I just love this film, my favourite one and from my point of view one of the best in history.
