I love how Steven says "It wasn't as good as the first one but it was really successful". Like - here you go, no marketing nonsense, no PR bullshit, it wasn't as good because it was never meant to be, it has been done purely to satisfy audience and show more dinosaurs that can now dance. Nothing wrong with that.

Yea I like how he said, we wanted to give what we wanted and what we assume the audience would want. Which was a fun film, now a days, fans are constantly in some ways harassing filmmakers to make a new JP/JW film exactly how they (the fans) want it specifically. Back then I’m sure they got lots of fan ideas and suggestions etc in forms of letters and maybe emails, but now? 24/7 bombardment via social media bombardment lol

I don't think he ever lost that child-like wonder- it's always been a thread running throughout his career. I remember him saying once in an interview that he never wants to grow up and I don't think that he ever did. I don't want to be misunderstood when I say that, like Spielberg said in an interview when a journalist was asking him how he feels about some film critics describing him as a big kid- you can be an adult in the sense that you're responsible and mature but you never have to let go of that child-like awe, enthusiasm and wonder. I never want to lose that, either.

Absolutely agree. The degree of photorealism here is unheard of. CG technology was still in its baby shoes here, but ILM managed to fit just in that pocket. The clever use of darkness and harsh contrasts made up of what they lacked in technological advance at that time. The animations are butter, and that’s before any tissue simulations like we have nowadays. I buy every second of this movie in terms of plausibility than any of the Jurassic World sequels.

Rescuing Sarah Raptors in the Long Grass Visitor in San Diego I always loved how some of the action sequences while on the island had some congas and bongos playing, giving it more of a jungle flavor compared to the first movie! The fact that the dinosaurs roamed free on the island and not behind fences or constraining technology And Two teams : the photographers And the HUNTERS coming face to face Losing their communication equipment Having to set aside their differences and team up to better ensure their survival. They went from hunters, to being the HUNTED! And when Malcolm, Sarah, and Kelly are ambushed by the raptors on the ingen operations building) THIS MOVIE.....made me want to be an actor MYSELF! Incredible life like animatronic dinosaurs that looked so REAL! Steven Spielberg directing The locations that were used for filming! @stewartmoore51582 жыл бұрын
CGI has evolved immeasurably, but you need good filmmakers to make it work on screen. The artists on the original JP films understood how to use the CG effectively, whereas the average modern blockbuster is hampered by a reliance on CG with little artistic direction.
