I still find it very surprising just how many people played and liked this game, and even said it made their childhood. I uploaded this soundtrack purely because I like it so much, and I never thought it would become the most viewed video on my channel! Honestly, I always found Cauldron's games to be middling and 'just okay', not bad but nothing special either. But I will admit that, if nothing else, at least the music in their games was almost consistently top-notch! :)

There is no Survive Mode, only red and green Deinonychus, and in the T. rex boss fight the second T. rex is green like the first one, unlike the PS3 and Xbox 360 version, which has a red Rex as the second one.

@cepodi Жыл бұрын
exactly, thats what missing in dinosaur games nowadays, the sense awe not only in the dinosaurs but in the world aswell, you can hear them but you cannot see them, they are hidden not in a scary n disturbing way, but in a beautiful and fantastical one, it makes you imagine what lies beyond when you see the cloudy dark sky, the slighty green fog, the dark green collored prehistoric vegetation, the roars echoing throught the cliffs, the world feels much more bigger and alive beyond you just having to follow a linear path and i personally think dinosaurs or prehistoric games in general should be like this, forcing you to use your imagination when witnessing a world long gone, and also represent our frustation towards never knowing for sure How the world truly was in the past, aspects that i think wouldnt work properly if it was a open world game, all comes together to creates this unique experience, and i truly miss this
@somadozebananas7080 Жыл бұрын
@@cepodi I agree! The player's own imagination is a powerful and underutilized tool in a lot of modern games. I think the game did a good job of feeling bigger than it actually was, which made me at least feel like I was walking through an ecosystem rather than a narrow track. The distant dinosaur sounds are so freaking awesome. "Welcome to Bermuda" is my favorite track, just for the foreboding, primal, and mysterious tone it sets.

I remember playing this game as a kid on the Wii, I just beat it earlier today and had to take a listen to the soundtrack. The plot of the game is kinda dumb but the game knows that and the soundtrack is honestly too good for the game that this is, but I wouldn't had enjoyed it as much as I did without it since it builds so much suspense and pumps you up so much. Hearing the drums beating while the violins violently play themselves, before the deeper violins come in and give that all too familiar tone and vibe that this game has, have someone who's played this listen to like 2 seconds of that one iconic part at 36:04 and they will almost instantly recognize where it came from, the badass soundtrack really built the nostalgia for this underrated game which needs a sequal (especially after that cliffhanger).
@destruction1266 жыл бұрын
Game wise this game was really basic and boring but the music and the dinosaurs were cool. I wish they would release it to PC and make a sequal and add waaaaay more to it.

What is it with bad to mediocre games and having some of the best music?
@LVsMcWormJr4 жыл бұрын
I think it's more a matter of a creative and talented composer being 'in the right place at the right time' ;) (or 'wrong place at the wrong time', depends on how you look at it. I believe it's a bass guitar, or at least it sounds like it to me. Or maybe a 'clean' electric guitar. Then again, it might not even be a real instrument at all, a lot of these soundtracks are made with samplers and mixers, and with added effects, so often you can't really tell for sure...

By 'these', you mean what exactly? Do you mean tracks 3 and 11, where I've combined two very similar songs into one? Or do you mean the entire soundtrack?
@spikezilla547 жыл бұрын
LV S. McWorm, Jr. what i mean is are yoi able to split some of the songs into their own vids to be listened to individually. i listened to the entire sound track and greatly enjoyed every bit and even how some of the songs that were virtually the same were combined to make one. what im asking is would you make a play list of each song. nowhere else is there the full soundtrack from this game and apart from here only 4 vids exist with the boss theme (uta raptor, t rex, and spike), scorpion theme, and the raptors theme then the main theme playing throughout each stage. this vid has all the songs from the game.
@LVsMcWormJr7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the soundtrack is complete :). I did skip on a few songs that were just parts of some other songs, but the rest is all there. Even those short 'stingers' that play when the camera zooms in on some 'point of interest' (such as the next objective), and some cutscenes' audios too. I'm a completionist, what can I say :). As for re-uploading the entire soundtrack as separate files... I used to do it back before YT implemented the 'timestamp' feature, but nowadays I avoid doing it because it just clutters up my channel :(. And you could argue that my channel is already cluttered with all kinds of junk, but there's no reason to add even more to it, now is there? ;) Now, I know that you sadly can't take just a PART of a soundtrack and add it to a playlist, all you can do is add the ENTIRE video. And that sucks if you only want to listen to a specific song. So, since there are only 19 tracks on this soundtrack in total, which really isn't all that much, I'll think about it. I'll let you know when and if I re-upload it ;).
@spikezilla547 жыл бұрын

@@SuperGroove97 Well, if you own the game, you can try looking into its folders, why not? ;) But in my experience, the game assets (music, sfx, voices, textures, etc.) are usually packed into 'container' files that only the game engine can read, so you'll more likely to need some sort of an extractor to get the music files out.
