I saw this movie in theaters with my dad on a Wednesday 5 years ago! I saw the teaser and theatrical trailer 100 times and told him we need to go see this! The trailer was released a week before Christmas, it was amazing! It made $1.6 billion dollars at the box office world wide. JURASSIC WORLD 3 Dominion will be released June 12 2022.

The history of life on this planet (the only life in the whole universe, as far as we know) is almost unfathomably vast. One fact that blows my mind is that, while they're often depicted fighting each other, the T-Rex and the stegosaurus were actually further apart in time from each other than the T-Rex is from us. The Age of Dinosaurs lasted about 200 million years, and would probably still be going if not for that meteor that killed just about everything weighing more than 50 lbs. In comparison, modern humans have only existed for about 100 000-200 000 years, and the entire recorded history of "civilized" humanity is only about 10 000. Kinda impressive we've managed to muck things up as thoroughly as we have in such a relatively short period.

This movie is so great! It pays homage to the original but does its own thing. Few fun facts: Jurassic World was open for 10 years, from 2005 to the disaster in 2015. Also, Isla Sorna, the island from 'The Lost World' is empty and deserted. When Masrani Global bought InGen and decided to open Jurassic World, they moved the dinosaurs on Isla Sorna into the park on Isla Nublar.

Which actually makes that girlfriend scene pretty pointless because it shows he doesn't actually care for her, and he doesn't even get any kind of comeuppance for it (like his girlfriend sending him a break up text, his little brother blackmailing him as a way to force him to go to the various attractions, or just eyeballing the wrong girl because their father or boyfriend sees him doing it).
