Definitely *_VERY_* interested to see how much Evolution 3 changes from the current game in terms of gameplay and mechanics. Improved terrain tools and scenery items? Baby dinosaurs and ontogeny? An upgraded, more in-depth skin system with more options?

Exactly the fact that the franchise is based on one thing that “we don’t have control” and that “life finds a way” it only makes sense for the animals to breed we have all sort of babies in the franchise the 1993 triceratops baby in TLW, Baby trex in TLW Baby velociraptor in JP and Jwfk the 1997 stego baby in TLW JP3 pteranodon babies the JW stego baby seen in the first Jurassic world, same with the gallimimus apatosaurus and JW triceratops Baby ankylosaurus and brachiosaurus in camp Cretaceous Baby baryonyx Nasutoceratops allosaurus and carnotaurus in dominion We also have sexual dimorphism for most of the species in the franchise aswell Tiger raptors are males brown raptors are females in Jp1&2 We already know the males and females of Jp3 raptors Trex that is Green with yellow stripes is male and the brown Rex is female Green parasaurolophus is female and the males are beige with red a neck Etc

For me personally, only three things hold JWE 2 back from being perfect: - The absence of boat tours - The absence of more buildings from the films (the aforementioned T-Rex Kingdom comes to mind) - The lack of enclosure variety (Mini-exhibits would be nice)

ON the bright side! We can now have mods not break! Though for Evolution 3 I really hope we get some features that weren't in JWE2, like more options for genetic manipulation and mutations, enhanced security options(aka armed security like the ACU from Jurassic World), new and better behaviors and traits for Dinosaurs(especially from genetic manipulation and mutations), and of course longer and less annoying yet more dangerous storms. And most importantly... COW FEEDERS!

Having sauropods, hadrosaurids and other herbivores that can't fight back is a HUGE negative and something I would love to see fixed in JWE 3. Having more scenery options like waterfalls, caves and small exhibits (like planet zoo) would be awesome. The game also needs more decorations- more statues, skeletons, billboards, fountains, kiosks, etc. I would also love a river and submarine tour. This would make the game perfect for me.

Don’t be sad that it’s over be happy that it happened. 😊 At least it was better than the sudden ghostly abandonment of JWE1 after the return to Jurassic park dlc. If I had to choose my five favourite dlcs and packs I’d say… 1. Cretaceous Predator Pack -(Because of Utahraptor and Gigantoraptor) 2. Biosyn DLC -(Because of Dimetrodon, Pyroraptor & Therizinosaurus) 3. Secret Species pack -(Because it brought back the missing three from the first game and gave Ankylodocus a most needed make over) 4. Feathered Species Pack -(Because of Deinochierus) 5. Marine Species Pack -(Because of Shonisaurus, Placeable Ampitheatre, Able to favourite a creature and re animating the Spinosaurus). Hopefully in JWE3 we get more Palaeozoic animals and possibly Cenozoic ones too and Finally give Pterosaurs social animations can’t believe they didn’t get the chance to add that into any update.

Honestly is a bit sad how a lot of the updates content is just like... basic stuff that you would see on most good park builders. Idk is like, one of the few gaming communities where people would get hyped for trashbins and benches. As for the game on general, I think plenty of issues come of the approach they have to challenge mode and its elements, such as breakouts. On general the game takes this speedrun approach wich I think is a bit contradictory for a park builder/managment, the game isnt developed for one to be able to make a good looking park that can be functional, but rather parks that would get to the 5 stars as fast as possible. You can see this sort of approach affect other aspects of the game, for example, why is not terrain editing better? Simple, breakouts, given complex terrain would give player a wider and more efficient way of containing animals, they simply want to force breakouts to be able to happen, instead of finding ways they could work with more complex terrain (Dinosaurs being able to swim) or other way bad animal welfare can impact your park.

Things that even Zoo Tycoon 2 has are lacking: elevated paths, waterfalls, deepwater, automated object alignment (put decorations aligned are a nightmare on xbox at least), put other buildings above paths... That's only what I can remember

The breakout thing is very poignant. I remember one of the things I despised about Evo 1 was the amount of times the campaign flat-out cheated to force breakouts to happen, and one of the developer quotes from that first game was "it's Jurassic Park, something WILL go wrong" It's like yeah, that's the point and message of Jurassic Park; but this is a park builder game, and a safe, smart player who doesn’t have an ego like the characters making these parks in fiction should be allowed an extremely safe park if they know how to build it. If the ideal scenario in JWE is a perfectly safe park, mechanics that only exist to limit the player are kinda silly outside of campaign modes

The game would have benefited from a less omnicient approach, like having to place outposts and cameras to know whats going on. On top of that the breakouts themselves should be less chaotic, the dinosaurs dont need to to into an instant killing spree.

@@MrTroodon_Official The game truly incorporates the stereotype of Jurassic World wich dinosaurs are portrayed as mindless monsters that can somehow flee from heavy concrete fence, wich limitates the entire complexity of the ingame animals. I get their ideia when making campaign and challage modes, but is pointless in sandbox. Besides, it is very limitating to make different enclousures since the building system is driven by park theme, not biome theme: you can only build JW, JP, DFW, Byosin and Malta. The biome theme are only rocks and plants.

I've been here since JWE1 And I've bought every single expansion and dlc for both games a few on multiple platforms JWE1 had it's flaws that 2 fixed such as the AI being smarter (mostly) and more diversity in the behavior of the dinosaurs That being said JWE2 isn't without it's flaws - The Campaigns felt flat as a story mode even the expansions - the Chaos Theory mode while yes fun as a "what if" it just feels flat and not as thought out 2 of them is literally "what if the park succeeded" - The Lagoon definitely wasn't flushed out as they should've been but I am glad they got alot of love over the years I hope 3 expand that alot - The carnivores mostly felt like reskins of one another even if they share completely different models but there were definitely a few gems added later on - the removed previewing in the hatchery and that didn't change when the dino showcase was added (This one is more of a personal gripe) As I am typing this I'm also watching this I see I share alot of gripes and whatnot with you Bestinslot lol Honestly at launch this was an easy 8/10 for me Now it's more of a 9.5 I love 1 alot and 2 improved alot at launch And as of now it's sooo much better

I’d give JWE2 a solid 8. If it had more attractions, better hunting mechanics, aviary & lagoon improvements, more marshland terrain options, and a few more first person options (along with the ability to be hunted/eaten and ejected back to overworld-view from first person) It would be a lot closer to a 10.

Man, I remember watching your video's covering the anouncement of the game all the way to it's release. It's crazy how time flies. It was so much fun to speculate on what would be the big new things Frontier added. I have to say that the game didn't completely live up to the hype, but i sure as hell had a blast playing it the past few years. Ofcourse i also watched all your videos speculating about the DLC's as they came out. I'll be looking forward to the content you'll make for JWE3.

This have force some moders to wait until the end of devs support of the game to release their creation instead of repairing them at each new udpates. So hopefully we will see soon the quality products of big moder back in the game or the return of old mods left un-updated until now!

I want more guest interactions/ more detailed guest models & security. It would be so fun to watch security patrol your park or watch guests be shocked seeing their first dinosaur and maybe by the time they leave the park and see their last dinosaur they would be like meh in emotions. Id love mascots similar to planet coaster walk around the map, interacting with guests and animals, petting zoos, petting aquatic zoos etc. I want jwe 3 focus more on the guests & staff to make the park feel more alive! Like when you request a fence to be fixed a group of mechanics will come over and start doing a fixing animation.

I really feel, for me, there is one singular issue that drags the game down for me. The rest I can forgive or doesn’t bother me that much. That one issue? Flying animals not able to walk. Evolution 2 is what the first game SHOULD’VE been. Nothing more nothing less. It’s basically just evolution 1 but for newer gen consoles etc etc. A 7/10 I feel like is a good score. @@JPOG7TV the reason being is because even though much more was ADDED nothing “changed.” It was just a big update. More of everything! More dinosaurs, more terrain pallets, more buildings, bigger maps, etc. The only real new stuff to the game had to do with the lagoons and aviary’s (which were just glorified dinosaur enclosures considering they don’t have what they need to make them feel like lagoons or aviary’s besides the KELP) overall. It’s just a big update.

The one comment I gotta add is herbivores being weaker than carnivores is necessary for them to be hunted due to how the JWE2 hunting/combat system works. If triceratops was equal in stats to rex it would be op asf, and rarely actually killed. Though yeah some herbivores need adjustments like sauropods.

For just me, personally, I'm not a big park decorator builder kinda guy, I actually did quite enjoy all the campaign and chaos theory stuff (hearing the voice actors come back) it made me feel like I was building something alongside characters I knew and liked from the films, so the 1 thing that really bugged me (besides wanting more voice lines and unpredictable inclusions!) Is that the really cool and different mechanics that were introduced in the DLCs (both the Amber Mine in BioSyn and The Sale option in the Malta DLC) were never added to Sandbox! Sure, I get it, the Amber mine thing should be probably locked to JUST the BioSyn Valley for lore purposes, and I know we do technically have the black market option in sandbox options, but the fact that I can't do the "Sale Request" options to specific buyers in other maps really bugs me! 😤 Surely they could've reworked the cargo ship option into a only a single tab so that you didn't need to switch it between islands/maps right!? 😢 Anyway, that's the one thing that's always bothered me about it but apart from that, I do adore the game to this day, and I've replayed most of it multiple times over 💁🏼‍♂️

9/10 game, a *MASSIVE* improvement over the first one. New Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs, and Aquatic Reptiles. New Locations and Maps, customizable Aviaries and facilities, Lagoons, Ziplines, Placeable Decorations, Underground Viewing Domes (JPOG moment), Aquatic Viewing Domes (JPTG moment), Adorable Dinosaur Social Animations, The list goes on! Almost perfect just flawed in some areas. Some more facilities and decorations (i.e. boat tours, ballon tours, bridges, waterfalls etc) weren’t needed but would’ve been nice. Same with baby variants for some of the dinosaurs, at least for the movie ones. I also think the Base Game Roster for the Pterosaurs and Aquatic Reptiles should’ve been larger Plus there are some bugs, at least for me (Some small dinosaurs on sandbox will somehow noclip through fences for some reason?). I understand not many people think its not as great as Im putting it, saying It could’ve done better to differentiate it from the previous and be more expansive with customizability (akin to planet zoo) but I personally prefer JWE2’s simpler style. They should add an attraction called "Arena", and allow for modular customization. You could make it into a San Diego style amphitheater, or a JW era Indominus paddock." Same goes for the other attractions. Instead of having different tour rides, just have one attraction: "Guided Tour". You could choose the look of the station and vehicles Rollercoaster Tycoon style.

I think for me personally, I'd like to see Evolution 3 get better terrain customisation and some more interesting options for exhibits (proper bridges etc). I've always wanted to have a walkover path for some of the dinos so that guests could stand above the enclosure. I guess in a way, it's really just asking for Planet Zoo esque customisation. The other big things I'd personally love to see get added is something from OG - a proper guest system where I can select a guest and see their names, interests, how much money they have, what their thoughts are etc. At the moment as things stand, once you become aware of the fact that the guests are just kind of ghosts mindlessly wondering about and not actually interacting with the attractions etc, it kind of breaks some of the appeal of making a really nice park

Pack hunting itself has long been a speculative behaviour but it would have been nice if they added more logic and nuance to it. Like keeping the usual pack hunting restricted to use on medium herbs, and have a different variant of it for large carns to use on Sauropods. Also restrict the species each carn can take down by default, so that they are incentivized to target certain sizes over others. Like have velociraptors prefer small fast moving prey when given the choice, and only opt for bigger ones on certain thresholds like an entire pack being hungry due to not having a meat feeder. Meanwhile large theropods can frequently fail hunts against small fast prey, so eventually learn to only target larger prey, and then when they have the numbers for it, will finally target a sauropod.

Crazy, it feels like the game only came out months ago. Unfortunately, I was never fully able to dive into JWE2. Campaign and chaos theory were a big let down. I have issues with the lighting, environmental effects, and dino models. Mods were a huge headache every time an update came out. Becomes very time consuming having to review, download and install your favorite mods over and over, only to find out that the map you've been working on is now corrupt due to requirement for a mod that is now out of date. My soul was drained by probably the 4th update lol. All that aside, I think the biggest thing keeping me from becoming immersed in the game is the amount of menus you have to click through to get anything done. Compared to JWE1, they added probably 2 or 3 layers of menus/clicking that become unnecessary obstacles and really make your time feel inefficient

Honestly my rating for the game hasn't really changed. It was a good 7/10 game and while it did add a lot of content I feel like it didnt add enough to completely change the experience in a new way. On xbox theres a bug where transport helicopters would freeze in place after picking up a dinosaur. This issue has been in for over a year now with zero signs of it being fixed (this was a huge interest killer for me). One thing I hoped was to see more JPOG inspired mechanics be added eventually like better path management (keeping them clean, resting spots, guest satification), and most importantly...island generation. I hope we can see more of this the next game..and most importantly more guest attractions.

It’s crazy how it’s already been 2 and a half years, I remember sat in the car on the way home from my family holiday when the trailer dropped, I remember getting beat up and having a few fractured bones giving me the whole release day to play it. Last time I played for real was probably when the last good update came out, so like nearly a year ago. I hope JWE3, when it comes out in like 2-3 years is everything we expect.

I do like Jwe2 more but evolution 1 is more nostalgic to me. Getting the Indominus for the first time, getting my first 5 star island, stressing over Claire’s sanctuary. All that will stay in my mind because the only reason I played Jwe2 is because I played Evo1.

I think The Park Manager's Collection Pack alone brought it up from a 7 to an 8 for me. The Microceratus and Segisaurus should have been in the game from the start but the fact they are now in the game really rounds out the game for me.

Well :D Here's what I hated in JWE2: ( Even tho I still play it a lot with mods cuz I love JP ) but after all this time I gotta tell someone about these: - Even the largest maps are so small its ridiculous :D you could see the end of the building area in first person across the map lol. - They didn't bother to give as Isla Nublar, like the whole island so we could build our dream parks. - Guest arrive via helicopters and spawn out of nowhere at the entrance :D ( they didn't want to bother animating an arriving crusier or something bringing guests to the island ) - Ever since launch, if there is a rain, the rain falls through glass and all the guests are soaked LMAO - They focused on the dinosaurs so much... and yes they look great, but they didn't bother to at least do the iconic roars, and the dinosaurs are insanely dumb. - There is no excitment at all, the game gets very repeatative after a while, it would be so fun if you could get eaten in first person mode and its game over, or if there was a guest mode like you could play as a guest to explore but nah... if a trex gets out for example it never even bothers to head for the location where most guests are or arrival points. - If dinosaurs are killing everyone in your park you just drop a few star ratings no real consequences :D you can still have the park open its ridiculous... - Very few attractions and building types, only like 10 variants of guests ( you see the same guests all the time lol ). - The designers and devs' lack of attention to details is insane :D They didn't even bother the give us the movie accurate Jurassic Park Fences, buildings. Like guests don't enter the visitor center on the beautiful staris like in the movie NAAAH they didn't bother to animate guests walking on stairs lmao. - Did you think you would have to use different fence types for different types of dinosaurs with different sizes? GOTCHA! It is absolutely pointless to use different fencing cuz even a small little velociraptor or dilophosaurus or proceratosaurus can EASILY break a 24ft fence with 10 000 volts in it, as well as those heavy bar fences from isla sorna with the barbed wire on top of it LMAO, they break it so hard they break the concrete with it as well instead of dying right away from a shock or two. Aweful design. - If there is no power and a building is demaged, it will be smoking forever and the alarm will not stop forever either lol, very realistic, it would have been so nice to see these buildings get eaten up by the foliage. but yeah... maybe im asking for too much lol. - Guests are designed insanely badly as well, why? simply because they were too fking lazy to animate stuff and pay attention to details... If they are on the park tour and the power goes out or for some reason the ride gets disabled, the guests will stay in the fking car forever LMFAO, even if the car gets destroyed they stay there cuz they didn't want to animate them open doors XD sooo bad... really.. - Money: You can't set how much you charge for things in your park, even JPOG had that LMAO - Without mods, there is a driver in the Ford explorers ( even the same model LMAO they didn't bother at all ) you know ... those cars that run fully automated, the movie specifically states it so... Also don't even dream about rest stops, or even set the number of vehicles they removed that lol now u can't set it specifically you can only set the distance how far they will spawn between each other... They clearly had game testers who played shit games only... Anyway... there is a lot more but overall, this game could have been sooooooo much better than what it is if they just paid attention to details or ask actual jurasic park fans to review what they made.. It's not a bad game obviously, i play it as well but it gets super boring after a while for these reasons... Even with mods... :D

I loved dinosaurs since I was 4. For a bit, my interest in dinosaurs declined, but this game really made me fall in love with these animals again. I remember the days where I woke up at 9AM and played all the way to 10PM or something, every day. I really really love this game 'till my death and I will continue to play it until JWE3 hopefully comes out.

Personally, I played the chaos theory as a sort of campaign as the campaign is that short. I like the idea of being sort of recruited to develop up the parks, however the JP3 chaos theory broke my heart as to me it felt they brushed it to the side just to push u into Jurassic world. I love JP3 as it has some great scenes like the pteranodon railing scene, I just wish we had something better than moving dinos to Jurassic world.

I remember when jwe2 was announced, I really hoped we could actually customize the dinosaurs how we fully wanted, like change the base skin color to anything, change the pattern color, and most importantly, change the pattern. We kinda got that, but I was disappointed that we still couldn’t completely customize our perfect dinosaur. I hope jwe3 finally gives us full freedom to customize our dinosaurs any way we want, obviously pattern changes I don’t expect to be fully free because that’ll be too much for a person to constantly create their own pattern shape, so obviously I expect that to only be preset options, but atleast switch between each pattern because not all the dinosaurs will look the same, then the colors can be fully free. And I hope for more animations. More than one social interactions between two of the same species, or cross species that can co-exist. I remember oddly, I specifically wanted an interaction with allosaurus and carnotaurus since they co-exist, sadly didn’t get it

I hope in Evo 3 they should add vertical walls and terrain tools, like the walls shown in the original T rex paddock in the first movie. Maybe they should add more scientifically accurate body and skin variants to dinosaurs like the Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor.

If this is the end of Evolution 2's lifespan, then I'll say that this game was and still is a heck of a fun time!! Sure it had a few technical hiccups here and there, but with all that they added to it over the years, like the Dominion add on Campaigns, all the new dinosaurs and attractions, to even the larger than life Square Maps, you could tell that Frontier put a lot of love and care into this one!! Whatever they got planned for the upcoming third installment to these, I'm sure they'll outdo themselves. But for now, I'll say that Evolution 2 is the definitive modern way to play a Jurassic/Dinosaur themed Park builder, and one that no Jurassic fan or dinosaur lover should miss out on!! This is a solid 8/10 through and through! "We've entered a new Era. Welcome..........to Jurassic World."

The only thing this game misses is being able to control the dinosaurs like you can control the cars / helicopter. That'd be just amazing if you could pick any dinosaur and make it move around. Imagine having finished an enclosure and then experience that enclosure as a dinosaur... O_o It seems so obvious!

I wish there was building and fence maintenance. Where if you don’t keep sending a ranger team every hour you’d buildings would start to overthrow and stop functioning or if you don’t provide maintenance on the fences they’ll rust and fall apart. If the chaos theory mode is to be in the 3rd game, it should be developed further. For example, the TLW Chaos Theory mission is about the opening of JP Sandiego. As a second option, what would it be like if a park was established on the island of Sorna? subject can be added.

For me to buy evo 3 it needs baby dinosaurs and preferably growth. Would also really like something to make the dinosaurs more distinct from one another, like different sizes, randomised patterns and more variance in behaviour (for example some being far more likely to do a social interaction or not follow herds as often). Just something to make each dinosaur feel unique

Im really only starting to put effort into it lately. I was pretty demotivated at release until theu updated it so you dont hsve to grind everything to use in sandbox. Then i started getting back into it again. Thank goodness they also made all the maps unlovked eventually too My biggest remaining complaint from release though is just that this game seems way buggier than the first one was and they still never fixed all of it

I think the 'next big thing' should be a completely overhauled guest simulation. I loved all the weirdos that walked about in JPOG, they had character and things to say. In times of crisis I want to zoom in on a family and it become a mini movie about their escape to safety, in the spirit of the films.

Like 2 is what I wanted 1 to be so for me it's almost there. Just need more park customization to make parks more fun. Like rides. I feel the game still takes itself a little too seriously. Excited for 3, but it won't even be on my radar unless all dinos are in out the gate or I see major upgrades to other things I want. I'd be fine play Evo 2 forever.

I hope that sauropod will fight against carnivorous insects 1V1 fights it was a gigantic lead down that the hybrid sauropod can’t fight any carnivorous insects 1V1 fights but it’s design was better then the first game and I wish that dinosaur and marine reptiles had more interaction with the flying reptiles like hunting them and I wish that marine reptiles can attack humans guess and there was no maximum combat in sandbox like in the first game because it made battle royale fight more interesting because the dinosaurs were trying to kill each other much faster like the indominus rex was plus I hope that the dinosaurs and skins from Jurassic world chaos theory series will come to Jurassic world evolution 2 and an anniversary DLC before the game is done

@@LadiesMan2172tbh I bought the dlcs after finishing all the chaos theories as I like to think that’s the sort of campaign due to how short the real campaign is. I just like doing newer templates, like remake all the Jurassic parks to scale. But I am a die hard Jurassic park fan. However on another note I do just love building parks and have spent 1-2 hours on a single enclosure before just to keep it as aesthetically pleasing as possible, I’d just experiment with tours/attractions so it’s a little more fun for u to complete and go through as a tourist.

7/8 fits the current JWE 2. The campaign being over in a second without having a proper "build a park" mission and leaving it for chaos theory. Hopefully in JWE3 they dive into different mission types. They started to with the challenge mode (dominion dlc) with the photography challenge. We need more scenarios like that. For an introduction game for flying/marine reptiles it feels like they were more an afterthought once the hatchery exit animation. They just feel like something you watch for 5 minutes and then move on until they get a poisoned food source 😂

As someone who got the game about a year ago on sale i would rate the game 10/10 yes ive run into some annoying bugs but what game dont have them now days. Im gonna give it a pass on that as for me the game is amazing. Its the right mix of being able to do what you want to do without being to a planet zoo level. I have spent countless hours on the game building parks and battle areans and having a great time. I will say i dont get too much into the decorations as much i mean i dabble but never been my thing perhaps that will change in the future. For me the game is tons of fun. Hopefully jw3 will continue to be a great joy to play and add more animations and features to the game to make it even more fun. Yes for me 10/10 would recommend it to anyone.

I feel what hurt Evo2 the most was unlocking everything from the beginning so early in the game's life. Evo1 made you play through campaigns to unlock things even in dlc (unless it was sandbox if I recall). So, Evo2 never made me want to play CT after that update.

Hard to believe i spent $80 for the exact same game with a few extra dinos, maps and pain in the ass scientists, and then a further kick in the teeth with paid dlc content that just added a couple more dinos, the mods saved this game but I highly doubt i will spend anymore of my money on another jurassic world game when i find prehistoric kingdom being a far better game even though its in beta
