What Was REALLY Inside Of The RESTRICTED Section Of Jurassic World?

Jurassic World and the restricted section of Isla Nublar has been a popular topic on dinosaur species and what kinds of secrets Dr. Wu could’ve kept there. Hybrid dinos are seen briefly in the lab at the end of the 4th movie but things like the Scorpius Rex make it even more interesting. By the way the monster in the thumbnail is a Mortem Rex! It’s like Godzilla and a Tyrannosaur met!

I always assumed it was like Isla Sorna: an area where animals are either just allowed to breed and live wild, and Wu and the scientists just run random experiments on animals for the park, future attractions, hybrids, or maybe the unspecified dinos are just "Guinea pigs" for any scientific stuff. Like Wu would say "collect a few fresh specimens from the restricted area, I'm planning a new hybrid and need some fresh material".

There’s material from the 90’s that says they didn’t have a complete DNA sample of Allosaurus yet. Maybe they’d cloned one before but they did plan on using it in one of the parks sometime after Jurassic Park was supposed to open

Now, my expanded headcannon includes ancillary material from the 2010 app game, the Dangerous Games comic, and a version of the Lego series as taking place within the Restricted Area (sorta explaining the usage of Allosaurus).

Hmm. Well given Jurassic Park Survival we could get like Jurassic World Survival where it'll be the same as Jurassic Park Survival. It takes place in 2016, a full year after Jurassic World ended. You could play someone from Biosyn for example to get DNA and such and go to the restricted area and even see some things from Camp Cretaceous like the camp, Hidden Adventure (I consider it canon) and such.

I play Jurassic World Alive, and in that game there are Apex creatures, these are top-tier monstrosities such as the Mortem Rex and the Haast Maximus. I would love to see these brought into the films as top secret experiments that InGen has been working on creating for decades. It can even be called the “Apex Program”.

Another animal that was meant for a future exhibit was the Woolly mammoth, and we see its frozen remains on a tray in JW:CC. I think it was another animal that sadly went under the radar, and never got cloned along with other possible cenozoic beasts. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if ingen was secretly working on a possible Siberian theme park, and there is evidence to support this throughout the franchise.

I think they need to stay away from hard hybrids and just keep it a soft canon going forward. Spinosaurus is retconned as a hybrid, then we got I. rex and Indoraptor. But going forward the species should be “straight species” and inconsistencies in the CGI and scientific inaccuracies be made out to be separate lines of dinosaurs. I actually wish they would run with that honestly. Imagine a scene where the protagonist is watching a pack of compies fighting with a flock of crows and a coyote over a carcass. The idea being that the dinosaurs, while not natural, fall into the natural ecosystem. Then explore the idea of how the different genetic companies are going crazy with genetically engineered animals and how these theme park monsters are just animals and the struggle to survive just like everything in nature. Then explore how these dinosaurs are trying to adapt to the 21st century and what modern species are doing to adapt as well. It’s a nuanced storyline that we will never get.

Is no one going to acknowledge that pretty much all of the original park is in that area. Who knows, mabey Masrani built on some of Hammond's old infastructure. Afterall, the concrete moat that the Ford Explorer fell off of in Jurassic Park is no longer there, we saw that in Fallen Kingdom. And in Jurassic World we see that the ground level has risen to the doors of the visitor centre, the one that had a flight of stairs in front of it. Just thought that it would be an intresting idea.

Yeah. It’s a big departure for Wu. In the novel he was obsessed with making dinosaurs as close to their ancient counterparts. As the DNA sequencing became more perfected, they’d be released as a new “version” almost like software. Book Hammond hated it.
