2:40 - I mean… Wakanda Forever also featured the jaws of a Megalodon as Namor’s throne which led to some speculation of whether a living Megalodon would appear in the film. It didn’t. I’ll take the prop with a grain of salt until the trailer or more details come out Edit: Hannah Beachler (Wakanda Forever’s production designer) did say there was a story and meaning behind the Meg throne.

Which one of the best exemples iof a hint leading to something that didn't matter till much later was ben kanodi name dropping the clone wars in the first act of the first movie dispiyte it not mattering till dacdes later... so much so Goarge lucas banned tghe EU from doing anything with it... So yeah Goargelucas and now Dave falonia are gteat visual media story tellers so that kind of thing comes natural... Jorasic park I don't think has that kind of foresight... But what your theory is cchecks out as their has to be a reason why a m,egldon jaw is inn this universe which has been over taken by dino figutily and litterly... The shark jaws are probably there for decoration and not hitting at Megalodon the main thing I want to appear in this movie is mostly more aquatic reptiles and flying reptiles since so far we only got Mosasaurus, Pteranodon, Dimorphodon and Quetzalcoatlus but more Cenozoic species is something I’m open to but I think they should be seen in the animated shows rather then the live action movies

@ not every prehistoric bone seen in the franchise has to mean they bought back that species Plus sharks jaws aren’t made of bones like ours and most after creatures so the only thing you can keep from a shark that won’t decompose is the teeth and nothing else

Would be awesome to have cenozoic species in the next game. Hopefully it also doesn't take too much attention away from the dinosaurs there too. I really hope they gave more paleo-accurate cosmetic options for some of the existing dinos like feathers on the maniraptorans, no more pronated rists, quadrapedal hadrosaurs, no more holes in sinoceratops frill, no more shrink wrapping, lips on tyrannosaurus.

The MEG!!! Maybe the Park Manager’ Collection Pack was hinting at new species in Rebirth. As it was the last DLC for JWE2, Frontier would be developing JWE3 (or whatever it’s going to be called) would be in touch with Koepp on what species would come so they would know exactly what species to add in, so when they knew meg would come, and we wanted it especially after the Marine Species Pack, they thought to add it in JWE2 since JWE3 would have to wait some time. Maybe Thanatosdrakon could come, could make sense with meg and mosa so thanatos and quetz? Just speculation❤

I don't think they'll add the megalodon, mainly because there is already a megalodon movie (ahem, The Meg and The Trench) and those movies weren't really beloved.

That was reasoning previously. But by featuring the jaws, they're already putting thoughts of that other franchise in our heads anyway. I don't necessarily think we'll SEE a live Megalodon. Just that this clues the viewer in that in this "new era" previously extinct species from the Cenozoic are roaming the world as well and we'll see other species later in the movie.

Before I watched this, I didn't think too deeply about the Rebirth subtitle, but after this video and the mentioning of the very teasing NDA, I'm intrigued. It could be a case of the dinosaurs were brought back, and now it's time for the more recently extinct animals to get their "rebirth". If they did include Megalodon, they'd have to make sure not to make it too much like the Jason Statham films, it'd need to be actually scary. I feel the best Meg seen on screen was in fact in that Walking With Dinosaurs: Sea Monsters Special, where Nigel Marven visited the seven deadliest seas of all time, and in number 3 was the Pliocene seas in which the Megalodon called home.

Seeing prehistoric animals that lived before and after the dinosaurs would be great, as I keep insisting. The franchise should try showcasing such creatures while still showcasing dinosaurs and other animals from the Mesozoic era, I mean Primeval did! It would add so much more variety, they’ll probably have to at some point, because if they just keep showing more dinosaurs. Even though there were many different species of different shapes, sizes and appearance at the same time many were similar to one another so it wouldn’t add much difference, whereas adding creatures like sabertooth tigers and megalodon would add more variety! If done right.

We shouldn't take these pictures as proof that the Meg will appear in Rebirth, but I want to see it in action, especially with the Mosasaurus. A fight between those two behemoths would be like the T-Rex vs. Spino fight, but on a much bigger scale. And since Gareth Edwards is all about scale, we could see that in this movie. The Mosasaurus vs. Megalodon fight could go down in history as one of the best fights in cinema history.

Dimentrodon existed way before dinosaurs, and Smilodon existed after the dinosaurs extinction. So I wouldn't be surprised if they clone a Megalodon.

I Think they revealing the Jurassic Movies first before they revealing the new Jurassic game, Since they are working together… Cant wait for both, playing JWE1 right now, making all species park in JWE2 just for waiting for the game and movie to come😅

The biggest concern I have IF megalodon is actually in the movie, is that it will take away from the Mosasaurus, obviously a battle between the Mosasaurus and the megalodon would be incredible. But in the context of the plot synopsis where they have to get DNA from the "Biggest species across land, air, and sea" I'm worried that they might substitute the Mosasaurus for the new Megalodon, and honestly I don't like the sound of that. The Mosasaurus is pre-existing, and it wouldn't make sense for them to create a whole new creature to be in place of it. Honestly I'm doubtful this will happen, or that megalodon is in the movie at all. But it's still a lingering worry. Especially since the Mosasaurus is already plagued by a CRIMINALLY low amount of screen time, especially in dominion.

my personal theory is that we'll see neither Megalodon nor Mosasaurus in Rebirth. The Megalodon jaws just tease that it's out there and peprare the viewer for other cenozoics popping up later. It's very likely there will be more movies after Rebirth, which might be good time to show Meg.

Make sense for megalodon to be their if the plot is getting dna from the largest land,sea, and sky creature than megalodon fit cause new study show megalodon can reach over 40-61 tons on average and even 122 ton for max Only being surpassed by aust colossus being 167-257 ton and Hector icthyosaur being 262-333 tons

Oi, as long as they don’t feature a live one swimming around, I’m happy. Ok I love this creature, but every time a movie features this predator, the writers just try to overthrow the Jaws franchise. I’m looking at you The Meg Movies with Jason Statham. Just his plot armor is stronger than Captain America’s shield. The bar with the skeleton jaws is enough for me. I’m happy if they don’t feature a live one swimming around. You can quote me

I have a theory that the megalodon might be munching down on a Parasaurolophus. due to the one photo having the Parasaurolophus bits, and what look to be shark teeth.🤔

I feel like the Megalodon is literally just going to be there for the sake of being there. I'd love to be proven wrong, but this seems more likely. I'd love to see more Ice Age species in the films though, especially if it means they could appear in JWE3!

Dinosaurs own this franchise, so let them keep the spotlight. If they wanna introduce Cenozoics or any other non-dinosaurian extinct species, give them some share of screentime, but let the dinosaurs get the attention they need, with new dinosaurs as well. Fr though I’d love to see a Deinosuchus or a Sarcosuchus😭👌🏻
