That blue fan is usually used when there are leaks and used to keep the air moving to dry out the water.

I still think the rex head that popped out of the ceiling should’ve been moved to the Rex cage in predator cove. Right where that open gate is, make it kinda peek out at the guests to give them a sense of what was coming, it would’ve added more to that lonely spot

The scene at the begining taking place in daylight ruins the ride. Why don't they make two versions of the video that they can switch to at night, it wouldn't even cost as much.

Allegedly, that is their "night time" designed scene. When they launched the ride they said it should be weather and time of day based, like Smugglers Run or ROTR in Galaxys Edge. So, again, allegedly because I agree with you, but this is the "night time" scene your seeing. (It looks exactly the same as the day time scene IMO)

The video screens you are seeing of the Mosasaur tank is the "night time Version". There are strong lights above the tank lighting it to look like Daytime.

There are scratches all over the place, even broke some of the Predator Cove sign. But somehow the monitors are perfectly unscratched and work great.

Personally, this is what I would've done if I could've redesigned the ride (Keep in mind I'm not an engineer or know how the budget works for these kinds of things) 1. Have the ride start off with a narration or even a video screen of Claire from the film talking about the failures of the previous park then open the gates with her saying "Welcome to Jurassic World" with one of the scores from the first film. 2. Instead of an aquarium in the beginning, have it be a similar set up to the old ride except it matches the tone and atmosphere of the jungle in the first Jurassic World. Maybe move all the old animatronics in the middle right here to create a sense of wonder and enchantment. 3. When it gets to the middle where the Parasaurolophus is, they have a prop of a great white shark (maybe a nod to Jaws) hanging like bait in the film then have the mosasaur appear from under the water with it's mouth open or maybe just have it's head appear out of the water & gaze at the boat. 4. When it gets to the Predator Cove, have a broken gyro sphere on display like the one the Indominus attacked in the film. Instead of having the fence stay empty, have one of the raptor's on top or around it. (Maybe the raptor is a clue to what the Indominus is a hybrid of) 5. When it gets to the top, add some lighting like a red flare and have the Indominus pop out but it blends in more with either the darkness or the lighting to match the camouflage it displayed in the film.

If you wanna see a much better ride look up a POV of the Jurassic World ride in Shanghai. It's not a water ride but some of the animatronics are the best EVER.

I did the original in Orlando back in November....first time in over a decade. I agree it's the better version, but it's in drastic need of fixing/updating. A lot of the animatronics were either completely broken or only half working.

I might’ve liked the scene with the mosa, but they put too much movement into it. Had they just created a few small animatronic bits that peaked out here and then in a sequence and including the water in that part of the ride, they could’ve made it feel more realistic. Some of the other animatronics are cool, but why did they scrap the ones they had? I’m sure they would’ve made for good pieces, and there’s no way ALL of them couldn’t be reused. And the Indo Rex escape with the screens? They proved with the last ride that you don’t need a direct explanation to express something like that. A recreation using a theme for the Indo Rex instead of the velociraptors would’ve given me chills.

When I went on it about 2 weeks ago we got stuck right before the drop. We were basically looking down but not falling. The indominus rex was moving its head completely with its jaw and arms. But something I don't understand is that one looked more gray and sloppy. This one on the vid looks nicely detailed. That was at 11 am. At 9pm we went on it again but for some reason the indominus rex gave out and wouldn't even move.

Ok, for me I love the ride, but y’all gotta think they only have so much space they can use, there’s not a lot of land for Universal, and yes I can agree in the beginning they should have made the tank darker at night but in predator cove it’s basically the same just different scenario, you still got the raptors escape, you don’t got the destroyed boat, and don’t got the Jeep falling but that got broken cause it was getting old, and you also got to think they redesigned so younger generations could recognize it cause they most likely never seen the old ones (which they should) but over all it’s just a ride, and let people enjoy it and also the ride isn’t fully done, they plan to put more on in the next coming months

I wish that this ride’s storyarch is similar to Splash Mountain, in which the climax, aka the part when you go down the drop, isn’t the end and there’s something afterwards. Like in Splash Mountain, after the drop, there’s a celebration and the Protagonist is home celebrating the fact that he’s safe and that both of his enemies got stopped. They should’ve ended this ride going home and witnessing the good dinosaurs, ala the first Jurassic Park where Dr. Grant looks out the helicopter and sees birds flying near them or JP3 with pterodactyls flying amongst the birds.

100% the original Jurassic Park ride was better - you got the Welcome to Jurassic Park moment, and especially when the falling car actually worked. Plus at the end you thought you were going to hit a waterfall and T-Rex surprises you right at the fall on the original.

I might be the only one who likes the predator cove part. When I rode it I really enjoyed how it felt opening up to a large cavern and I thought the foliage and rocks were beautiful and added to it, and I liked that there was plenty to look at. However, I do think the Rex comes out too early, and the indominus is just kind of doing nothing. I feel like they should have had it growling or sniffing, at least. Lastly, I really really wished they had kept the opening of the gates with the ‘welcome... to Jurassic park’ and scrapped the moso screen. I would have much more enjoyed some more herbivore animatronics, I felt like it was lacking. And the cool little fillers between the herbies and predators (like the boat with the popcorn, etc.) were taken out so it feels blank in that spot. I think the ride was enjoyable but kind of pales in comparison to the old one. I wish they would take people’s complaints about the screens into consideration more

I don't know why, but I don't feel like this one works, at least not on screen. Maybe I've just grown way too attached to the original ride, but this one lack the aesthetic. I loved that we got to enjoy the plant eaters, and feel the excitement when something seemed to be going wrong as we made it towards the end, where as this one seems to rush you towards the big finale. I haven't tried this version yet, but I hopefully will this summer. I think it's gonna be great, I just wish that they hadn't changed the original.

Ok this is how I would have done the ride Before I say anything tho I would have structured the ride differently so it could be longer It starts with you passing the Jurassic world sign with the iconic music playing. This is we’re you see large apatosaurs. Next you enter the mosasaur tank which would replace the waterfall section. The mosasaur scene would be the kept the same. Next your enter the gentle giants exhibit we’re you would see herbivores like Sinoceratops,stygimoloch,and other creatures. But then you hear on the radio that the indominus as well as other dinosaurs have escaped after this you get attacked by a baryonyx that splashes out of the water. This is we’re you enter carnivore cove. You would see the destroyed remains of the indominus enclosure as well as the remains of the raptor paddock. You then get a call from Clare who says to remain calm and that are redirecting the boats to the safe route. But after escaping attacks from other dinosaurs you see that the path to the safe route has been crushed forcing the boat to proceed through its original route. This is when you enter the aviary but before you enter you see two large holes one next to the entrance and one at the top of the birdcage. When you enter you see the flaming remains of a crashed helicopter with pteranodons scouring it. While you are distracted with the crash another pteranodon attacks you from the side. After you escape there is another call from Clare you hear that there is another route through the indoor visitor center. This is where you enter the the lift. On the lift you see Owen on the cams saying to stay calm and keep an eye out for blue. As you traverse the threshold you are repeatedly attacked by the indominus and the raptor pack with the exception of blue.When you reach the end you finally meet up with blue who is standing up to the indominus but at the same time the indominus is at the end of the hallway next to the large pyramid like structure from the movie ready to eat you. You hear Owen telling us to get out of there and that something big is coming your way.But after this the T. rex crashes out of the end of the hallway and roars ferociously at the indominus. You make it out with a large drop. At the end of the ride you see blue next to a sign that says when dinosaurs ruled the earth. What did you guys think let me know.

Not that Jurassic Park was all that realistic in the first place, but at least all the dinosaurs in it were based off of real ones. Having a completely made up dinosaur like the indominus rex on the ride kind of ruins the immersion, imo. And having it and the t-rex "fight" makes it seem like they're both less focused on YOU, which I think actually makes it less scary (even though, admittedly, they're barely facing each other, and the movement of the rex itself remains unchanged). Also... I hate how newer rides are relying more and more on screens...

Actually all the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park are chimeras. Yes they are called real dinosaurs. But they likely look nothing like the real thing did. In other words. No more "real" than the Indominus.

I've been reading a lot of the comments. A lot of people are disappointed, and yes, I do think the ride could be improved in fundamental ways. But at the same time, I think much of the target audience for theme park rides like this or theme parks in general are desensitized to stuff like this. We've all grown up playing video games and watching tv and movies. Not much is going to really surprise us if you really think about it.

Did anyone notice how there are more people in the boat in the beginning and then at the end after the drop theres a whole row of missing people. Plus, theres no imagination that went into that Mesosarus part in the beginning. I mean it's a bunch of screens, they could do multiple different experiences every time a boat goes by throughout the day. At the very least they could've had the videos go along with the lighting of the day and night. When its night time, they should have the tank looking dark with lights on inside the enclosure.

If you wanna see a much better ride look up a POV of the Jurassic World ride in Shanghai. It's not a water ride but some of the animatronics are the best EVER.

Gilbert Ceballos They are stadium lights. If you remember, the mosa’s tank is a stadium with an audience. If you look closely through the ripples of the water while on the ride, you can see that they are clearly stadium lights

Unpopular Opinion. The Trex is my favorite dinosaur, and the jurassic Park movies is one of the reasons. However, while I do believe the T-Rex should have easily killed the Spinosaurus, there is no logical way it could have taken down the I-Rex, even with the help of a velociraptor. That was a pretty cool fight though.

I feel like since the indominous Rex had some pretty sick cameoflauge skills, and they missed out on having that play a role in how creepy it was as an antagonistic dino that killed things just to do it. It was a genetic monstrosity, not just another T-REX. Like, I'm no engineer or expert, but I think that it would have been cool if the used the screens more effectively. Can you imagine if they barely showed the indominous Rex, but left you with some glimpses of it just flashing in/out of existince--- eating things, "killing off" soldiers trying to save your boat, and actively stalking your boat?? ...Only to have the TREX distract it and "save you" while you drop after it FINALLY comes into view and lighting up??? I think with the right lights and a lot more velociraptors this could be cool.
