They were either telling the Idominous that he was their Alpha, or they were looking for direction from him (or both) - until Hoskins told them to start firing, the raptors were still listening to Owen, they never actually attacked Owen at any point - even Charlie stops when she recognizes Owen's scent in front of her right after this cuts off. Then someone fires a weapon at her and she dies. Blue in particular never actually disobeys Owen.

All raptors looking at Owen makes me feel like they were probably waiting for his instructions, rather than looking at him to betray him. The raptors did not seem to be on hunting mode yet at that point. It is my headcanon that the raptors were probably making signals that they have a new raptor to add to the pack, rather than a new alpha.

For a while one thing that bothered me is how could the I-Rex know how to speak Raptor? Sure it's got Raptor DNA, but that doesn't mean that it inherently knows how to communicate their language considering it's lived in complete isolation (language is a thing acquired through interaction). If anything, to the raptors it would sound to them like a person who grew up in a padded cell from birth and was babbling gibberish. Then I thought about it, maybe that's unintentionally the point. The raptors encounter this angry bitter creature and cousin that's been raised alone and bitter, and empathy in seeing its pain is what turned them against their handlers. But not quite enough to turn on Owen at the very end.
