Quite apart from that I'm fairly well read, both classics and modern literature, so I am more than qualified to have my own opinions, thankyou. And I find Danaerys slightly one-dimensional by comparison to the complex characters of Theon Greyjoy, Jaime Lanister, the Hound, Arya Stark, and Tyrion Lanister. Whether as fictional characters in a fantasy saga, or psychiatric case studies. If you don't understand this perhaps you need to be reading a bit more.

I think, like they show us in HOTD, that Drogon is her bonded Dragon as well as her child. The twins are meant to have bonded riders, and they deserved that (or at least thats my opinion on what they should've done with them). It's sad that offing both of them for shock value was more important to the writers than a good story.
