Yes, it works for 2012 as long as you're in the close attack range, otherwise far.MK will come out.

st.MK works against close range command grabs, just not the tech throw OS. Works well vs Abel, worst case is you fail the cl.MK and he uses 2lk which is a 1f link combo (not plinkable iirc) ; otherwise it will beat command grabs or grant you airborne recovery.

Not to sound like a noob but does this still work for 2012? I just feel that your opp has to be close in order for her to do her close mk attack, which means command grabs and kara throws will still get in as her close mk doesn't reach as far as the throws, good if your in your opponents face though but I tend to not do that due to DP's and just plain losing in priority lol

Too bad you need to be very close to use this, command grabs and kara will still get in. God I hate kara throws
