I believe they are top quality, I don't doubt they will last over a lifetime if well maintained. It's like buying a car. The sad part is that I can't aford neither a good german car or a japanese filter 😂 I'll stick with my japanese car and german filter. For now!

Great product but as with all top brands, you pay for the name "ADA". The goal of a filter is to, well yeah, filter. A good filter like E-heim, with excellent filtering media (biohome ultimate, try those, they're better than everything i've ever used) will get the job done and will cost considerably less. I'm not talking a few euro's, I'm talking several hundred euro's. The ES-600 is almost tripple the price of the eheim pro-4 600 and while they both hold the same volume of media, the pump on the eheim is significantly stronger. The ES-1200 (same pump power) costs 4,5 times what the Eheim costs. So yeah, I'll just buy a good, non-ADA filter and if need be, replace it after X years. Of course, the ADA products are alwaus gorgeous to look at and their build quality is second to none, but they tend to be priced a tad bit too high imho. Their aquariums are stunning (I do have one of those), their glassware is almost a piece of art, but stay away from their filters. All of the positive points you mentioned Jurijs, are simply negated by the (i'd almost say scandalous) price. I do appreciate you summing up the positive points and the explanation that you give, I learned something new, but you should also mention the price range at least so that viewers have a complete overview. Now it smells a bit too much like "commercial 'cus they sponsor me" and I know you are better than that ;)

Great video my friend. You said almost everything why it might be a good option. Plastic filters tend to leak after some time. No matter how good you care of them. These guys will never surprise you with this for sure. For many people this thing worth the upgrade alone. To sleep well and no care about it in the future. :)

I think the product is worth it honestly. Better to buy less things and save for nicer things than to constantly buy compromised things you don't really want. The lilly pipes, low power consumption and bacteria medium make them worth it.

For me the concept of super jets look like the old Eheims but in stainless steel instead of green plastic. By the way I have an Eheim 2011 running since the year 1984 and the filter still works...

I have two supersets having been the hobby for 55 years. I have bought a ton of cheap aquarium equipment. Have had equipment break. The flow out of the tank not be enough as stated on the box. I love the quality of the filters they are so well made. They are so simple to clean nothing inside to break. Just love my superjets.

If you can do the initial investment I’m sure they would definitely be worth it, the quality of ADA is definitely something that’s meant to last a life time. They have a very minimalist look so if it’s a filter that will be seen it won’t stick out like a sore thumb! Have you done a review with one in operation? Would be interested in a maintenance video. Did anyone else notice that he was flipping through the book backwards? Lol. Really after watching this video, it definitely opened my eyes to these types of canister filters. Initially the idea of a metal canister was a bit off putting. But now that you (Jurijs) explained how it works and it's made from stainless steel, that changes my point of view. I dont think I will be buying the ADA filter since I just bought an Oase Biomaster filter, but I will certainly keep it in mind as a prospect if I need to upgrade in the future. Certainly worth the money when you look at the design and the materials used. Stainless steel isn’t cheap to either buy or machine. But these filters have decent o rings that are easy to replace and a pump that if anything happens we don’t have to throw away half the filter. Yes they are expensive but consider how long a standard plastic body filter lasts, and that their reliability can be questionable. Then it’s money well spent. This being the first time I’ve seen a review of the ADA filters, I’m certainly impressed. Will need to take a closer look when I decide to replace my tank.

Funny! today I made an install for a client using the es-600 and we had this discussion on comparision and the price. And let me tell you they are ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!! I installed and played with many filter in my career and Nothing compares to super Jet filters. The conception and quality is incomparable. I personally have an old es-600 myself, have it for 7 years now and still works like New without a scratch, geez! Even the lily pipes and tubing are the same. Its truly a life time investment. We are doing another install in a couple of week's and we are putting in a es-1200, a BEAST!! Cheers mate, keep up the good work.

They're like a flash version of the old Eheim Classic. I have two Classic 600 and they take a lot more media than those filters with baskets and internal tubes. You wouldn't want the Eheims to be on show so they get hidden away in the aquarium cabinet, these ADA on the other hand, they would look cool next to your aquarium.

I would love to own an ADA canister filter because I think the build quality is amazing but one thing they don't do is contain an aquarium heater. So just wondering would you prefer an ADA filter or an Oasé canister?

I have Es-1200 for 2 years now. It's worth it only if you go for easthetics, combining it with ADA Garden Stand. If you have a cabinet, just buy Eheim. One drawback of ADA filters is that if you have a lower temperature in the room compared to what you want in aquarium, they will really cool the water. Whatever heater you have, be prepared to pay higher electricity bill.

Only if you combine it with Garden Stand. One drawback is that that they cool the water down if your room is lower temperature than your aquarium. It means the heater is on more often, prepare for electricity bill.

I own Ada Super Jet Filter ES-150, it is top, but it has a single defect, it makes noise, a lot of noise, I just bought, not yet received top panel with pump Ver.2 which is significantly less of noise from the tests that I could see. It is expensive, but it is solid material. Ada could have put in the box, Ada Bio Rio instead of coal. Best design. Thanks Jurijs for this video :)

I like all the ADA products,although some items doesn't fit my wallet I appreciate them . The philosophy behind ADA I completely love. Nature style,simple designs,quality products may seem expensive but like you said if you make an honest comparison and your style is to never change a winning team ADA is the way to go.

This is the best filter I ever owned. I have a es-600 limited edition mirror finished and an es-1200. Been using it for more than 10yrs is the beast of the filters. I just now adding filter media on it from getting washed several times for yrs and it’s getting low. I tried eheim, fluval and others off brand will never go back from it. Once go Ada u won’t go back.

They are aesthetically pleasing, however most filtration is not usually visible. It's more a vanity piece than anything. If you have the money to blow then sure why not.

Awesome video! I have seen them alot between your videos, Georges videos and Green Aquas videos which made me interested in them. This video really gives a cool review on them. I have always used a canister filter and my go to is the Eheim and the ADA Super Jet Filter is like a Eheim on steroids! When I hear Tons of benefits I think on just another canister. The price is the branding and marketing of the brand itself and of course is beautiful, so you are paying for the beauty of it. I have seen a few japanese guys doing the same type of filter for extremely low price on this. and of course you don't have to buy a water pump specifically of ADA brand of just a water pump that does the same thing.

AdA is my favourite aquarium brand, all my tanks are AdA , substrate, fertilizer , same tool too. Althought I was considering to get one of those bad guyz ,at the end of the day on the market there are filters that gives you an high technology with less of the half of the price , like eheim or oase .

I'm using ES-600 filter for my 65 liter tank and it' stability and reliability are very good. If you make sure you will keep having this hobby for a long time, ES filter would be a good choice.

These are worth it if you have few tanks and they're all actual aquascapes. The Iwaki pumps are stellar and the stainless is beautiful and long lasting, but these filters do lack versatility. An Oase can be used for a saltwater aquarium in addition to freshwater, whereas the Superjet is freshwater only. Obviously these pumps were indeed designed for planted aquascapes, but it is something to bear in mind as far as value. Another downside is that there is no elegant solution to heating. I love how these look with the glass stand, but if I have to heat the tank it immediately detracts from the gorgeous stainless canister brings to the table. Would still love to own one some day for the power of the Iwaki in a canister!!

If an Eheim Classic is a Volkswagen sedan, the Super Jet is an Audi R8. You certainly get what you pay for with both, with considerations in design with/in respect to the other. Cant say my personal budget always for the Super Jet, but if it did - I’d buy one without hesitation.

This canister filter is nice! Shine & glamour yet the built quality is good! With the silence & strong power jet pump, it's just absolutely perfect fit for deliver the water to the tank. That's why i only use eheim for all my tank. It's really durable, good quality, low wattage with reasonable price for filter canister.

Hi Juri, Lots of great info. On the ADA. Beautiful looking filter, as regards noise ,I often sit my ordinary filters on noise absorbent mats in the cabinets. Good stuff sometimes is really expensive, but its a filter for you entire life, with Stainless Still 316 and Iwaki pumps that last forever :D It's the Lamborghini of the Canister Filters. Would love to have one of those.

Had the first gen es150. It definitely was high quality built but a bit noisy and had too much flow imo opinion for a 45p which they recommend it for. My ember tetras seemed to avoid the flow no matter what lily pipe I paired with it. Now I use a zoomed nano 10 which only cost me 40 US dollars and love it. I swapped the filter media with seachem purigen and matrix and popped some lily pipes on it and can’t be more happy with it. I used to say you get what you pay for but this filter changed my mind 👍🏻

Great filters! What's also good about these, is that the pumps are a lot stronger than regular canister filters. Normally when you fill your canister filter with Bio Rio, it will struggle to have a decent flow, meanwhile the ADA filter will push through it no problem at all.. If you have the budget and want to finish your setup, go for it!

I run a ES300 and an ES600. I think they are amazing filters. Really easy to clean, not noisy at all. You have to look at them like a Rolex watch. They are an investment that are high quality and will last a long time. I can see these filters still going when my plastic Eheim Classis has split or cracked a few times. Well worth the initial investment.

I own one ES-300 v1 and I am thinking about upgrading to v2 pump. It seems to be much more silent. Besides the somewhat noisy sound of the pump I am absolutely happy with this filter. I would definitely buy it again.

Honestly the only thing that keeps me from buying ADA products is the price of them. I'm pretty sure the quality is worth it but for someone who's more on the budget side it's difficult to make a big investment like this. This filter certainly looks aesthetically pleasing. Ich bezweifle nicht dass sie wirklich gut sind, aber ich glaube der Leistungsunterschied zu einem qualitativ hochwertigen Filter anderer Marken ist kaum sichtbar. Es ist einfach ein Luxusobjekt dass gute Leistungsparameter besitzt. Ich stelle mir aber die Reinigung nicht sehr einfach vor. Bei Körben kann man das Filtermaterial einfach entnehmen, aber bei deinen ADA Filtern geht das nur wenn man alles in Beutel packt die sich hoffentlich nicht auflösen oder reißen denn dann muss man den Filter ausschütten und hat alle Filtermedien gemischt.

I think you have to consider that these filters are handmade works of art to justify the price. Ideally they are used with something like ada's glass cabinets so the filter is on display as well. I think they are worth the price, especially the smaller ones for under $500 considering you get a set of ada lily pipes worth $200 ish alone. Considering one of these as my next canister though I do enjoy the prefilter sponge and built in heater of my oase biomaster thermo.

Filters look awesome but you can diy them with a strong pump no special mechanics involved in it . Also the filter media is available with large version of the filter not for the base version. There are better filters like oase and eheim they have an internal thermostat which is really useful if you live in a country with low temperatures. Also the price is just half or lower than the ada filters. If you have money it's a fancy product for your aquarium No doubt Ada is the best company for aquascaping products but I feel they should launch mid range products as well I feel many people want to get into this hobby but costly products always turns them off

I really love these filters, they come with decent modern design to show it at open place, prize is good when it comes with ADA lilly pipes and filter media. I hope i will get one of them for my 60P 😊

I think the superjet filters are worth for this price. Im a fan of stainless steel. A big reason to buy it us the included lily pipes and clear hose + this much filtermedia

I personally have the ES-600, it’s definitely robust and reliable. All the parts are made of stainless steel, compared to your normal plastic ones. Definitely a external filter to display rather than keeping it inside the cabinet. If you’re on a budget, than I would advise another brand instead. However this is one that you’ll never regret. This filter will definitely outlive whatever aquascape you do, or maybe multiple scapes. If you have the money, invest in one. You’ll not regret it.

I would love a stainless steel filter like that but I was not able to find a nearly silent pump for this design. Until then I will probably run a standard canister filter.

The filters really are stunning. But I still prefer the oase biomaster with pre filter and heater. Sometimes practicality over style is more important. But they are beautiful and for a filter on display look great.

Nice video. Bought a oase still due to my budget. But also it solve the heating problem. How do solve this with the superjets? Guess you do not want a heating pipe in your aquascape!

I would pay a bit more and have the quality of the filter keeping my tank clean rather than buy 3 random filters.. A nice touch is the extra things that come in the package, if you sum it up at the end you will notice you would have ended at the same point anyways. Difference is you have ADA gear in which I believe they are doing a great job. Cheers and thank you for the videos and this review Jurijs, I'm learning a lot from them.

ADA products are tip in the class products. And the filters with out noide and consistent out put are great engineering plus the aesthetics are great.

You r best...you have so many ideas in mind for this hobby...i like your passion for this hobby...u always surprise everyone with your work...you r too good...this filters are so good ... looks fantastic.. material looks pretty good, so much space for filter media, motor looks so powerful...I think this power jet filter give tank so much growth because if water is clean than we get healthy fishes and plants...u introduce so good product to us. They look amazing and the sheer volume of filter media they can hold would be great. I wonder how much easier it would be to replace the pump since it’s actually accessible compared to other canisters.
