This woman has cognitive impairment. The jury should have been allowed to hear this. I am shocked that you would allow someone experiencing cognitive issues to take care of your child. It doesn’t matter whether family are strangers, I would never leave my child with someone who lost their job due to memory/cognitive impairment.

@trina7274
@trina7274 54 минут бұрын
@@AnaCastilla-l1ototally agreed!!! No way in hell would I let my mother watch my child, after letting my older child drown… accident or not… Example…. Many years ago (25ish?) my mother watched our dogs, we had to go out of town for a medical emergency in my husbands family… his aunt ended up passing away, so we stayed out of town longer than expected. I was a nervous wreck as my mom is a very controlling person and does not follow directions. At all. Ever. So we had one dog at the time that was special needs… super strict dietary special needs due to a life threatening allergy… she would bleed internally if she ingested any wheat. At all… we found this out the hard way, when she was just a small puppy. She would also lose most of her fur and develop hot spots because of this allergy. Now I know what you’re thinking… Trina, it’s a dog… yep… and you’re right, she was a dog… but she was a part of our family. Anyway, my mom knew about her dietary issues… and she gave her human food anyway. While my dog didn’t die, she was in the dog hospital for 5 days and it cost us over 3 grand….not to mention the suffering she endured during that time. So….do you think my mom ever watched our dogs again?? Hell no!! Never again. If we couldn’t bring our dogs, we just didn’t go to places or just my husband would go or vice versa…. There is something not normal about the mother of the baby in this case. I wouldn’t even trust that grandmother to watch a houseplant.

@@summrflowers7253 People love to point fingers. Is anybody can forget. I've left my dog outside for an hour and then realized after calling she wasn't in the house. I'm sure this poor woman didn't do this on purpose. Can't believe she did it twice. My mother was senile towards the end. Most people could talk to her and never have an idea anything was wrong. It was only if you knew her very well, her stories wouldn't make sense to you. She used to take outstanding care of all of our pets. They were all spoiled. Towards the end all of her animals were starving, because she was forgetting to feed them. Thankfully I noticed this before it got really bad. All the animals were fine and we got hurt the care she needed. This woman's memory just might be shot. And there would be no outward signs of it until something horrible like this happens. I heard someone on TV said take your Left shoe off and throw it in the back seat with the baby. You will never walk in your house with one shoe on. 🤷‍♂️

They absolutely should have. Because you have to be incredibly negligent to "forget" a child in the first place. That means you didn't look at, speak to, think of, nor engage a child in your care for so long that you forgot they were even with you. And to consider this woman ignored a child to death AFTER one already died in her care -- accident or no accident -- and refused to do better for the second child.

The Grandma should have simply said, “I can’t today.” Mom had a salon appt. Grandma plans for lunch w friends. Their relationship is complicated. I don’t have children. I would imagine that feeling obligated to babysit with any kind of frequency could😮 be taxing….despite love or charm of the child. This is such an awful case. Maybe the same reason you don't know if a defendant has been convicted of a previous crime. Prejudices the jury. I remember being on a jury and the defendant was a drug dealer. We didn't know about prior convictions until he was found guilty. At that point we were given his prior convictions to allow us to determine if he was to have additional time on his sentence for multiple felonies. I think there is alot of information we don't know about this case. Honestly I question the sanity of the daughter and son in law to allow her to watch Uriel in the first place.
