She was leading the drummers into battle. You'll see a red flash and Taylor (was shot) recoils to her right side and then the drummers begin to get shot, then a second red flash, and Taylor goes down... very dramatic, but so perfect for Taylor! We're Swifties, we're in a cult and our leader is a theater kid!

She's surrendering, white flag being waved in the back(like "Les Miserables" flag wave) when she gets shot twice(red fkashes) and falls dead, with 2 outstreatched fingers, which represents "Peace", but also a sign of resistance by english archers back in the day(still have their 2 fingers to draw a bow with)

She is wearing a soldier jacket, like the one that the nutcracker wears. She is leading a military march with the drums. Like when people go out to a battle while on a war. When the lights flash red is her getting shot. Also, you cannot see it on the video, but behind them, half performance, a dancer appears and starts waving a white flag (sign of surrender) right before she gets shot. This is a crazy performance. She talks in a lot of songs about being a soldier or fighting wars during a relationship.

I saw her opening night in the states last year and got SO lucky to see her in Lyon like 10 days ago on a whim (so I got to see the new TTPD set). I know this sounds dramatic, but I'm pretty sure this is our Elvis/Beatles/Michael Jackson situation where people will ask you if you ever saw them (her) live because it's a HUGE moment.
@tinawilson46162 ай бұрын
I grew up in the 1950’s and 60’s. She is a phenomenon! I would put her closer to The Beatles because of the poetry and personal growth and excellent musicianship. Elvis was a light that left us too soon. No real poetry though.
@ladychelseatheundeadАй бұрын
@@tinawilson4616 Ooooh, that is a really great way to draw the comparison between Taylor and The Beatles in the depth and growth of their art (vs just because they were iconic)

There's been no queen quite like our drama queen-Taylor. What a performance. Her creative mind never takes a day off.

The song afterward is I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, but this performance is tied into a skit for ICDIWABH.

This is kind of a middle finger go Matty, the smallest man who ever lived. In his show, he marches around and salutes. OF course she is over the top and just slays it. Cool video, great reaction!

I read a comment on another reaction page for this song. The song is about Matt Healy and evidently (this is 3rd hand so may not be accurate). Matt had a concert where he had a big banner that said I'm sorry and had a marching band for the song. They said the "I'm Sorry or maybe just Sorry" banner was to Taylor.

You guys should react to her whole Ttpd set on the eras tour because all the song mesh so well together and really tell a complete story together! There are bad videos of it and great ones out there and the best part is at a recent London show Travis joined her onstage to help act out a song!

I read somewhere that in the old days drummers had a kind of immunity in the war. No body shot them, and they were often younger or even kids. So shotting the drummers was a very cowardly act,very cheap and lowest act, in terms of dignity. Knowing that sheds a new light on this performance
