The one thing I missed about WMP 8 and 9 were the ambience visualizations and was sad that they could not have implemented them in WMP 11. At least the battery is still there as that section a good selection of visuals that I use on 11 to this day.

Fyi, you can get this visualization on the current versions of Windows by right-clicking the album art (or the music logo) when you're playing a music on Windows Media Player, then choose 'Visualizations', and then you can choose what visualization do you like (like 'Alchemy', 'Bars and Waves', 'Battery', etc.) CMIIW.

Kids that grew up with Windows Vista just REALLY don't get the true power of this set of visualizations. This was WAY before KZbin. If you wanted something to watch to while listening music, this was the way to go. Fuck, I just started this video and synced it up with David Byrne's 'Like Humans Do', the song everybody got for free on their Windows XP PC: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eavclnWKn7eabKM And yes, I always tried ending the song at the waterfall-visualization at 0:30, as that's the best ending you can give to that song.
