I wonder if your teacher had synesthesia? There are many types, but she may have actually heard the visuals. Not the accompanying song, but the song of the accompanying visuals.. which probably sounds bonkers to someone without synesthesia lol. She may also have been able to feel the patterns (could explain the art history career path?). I'm the former, and this music-less video is SO LOUD (in a good way). If it was back when this tech came out then maybe it was just the coolness of it...because back then it was really forking cool tech. Either way she was correct: it's a beautiful masterpiece, and I can't stop watching! :)

This looks a lot like the Shpeck + MilkDrop plugin for the foobar2000 media player! What i like about that plugin is that they use vector graphics so you don't loose definition even in super high resolutions. Love it! :D
