This sentence is BS. What he did was a hate crime. It wasn't simply lying to the police or making a false report. It was a premeditated criminal act and conspiracy to commit a criminal act, both of which were motivated by racial bias, color, and perhaps also sexual orientation. He should have been sentenced accordingly. Would his sentence have been different if he wasn't black? Or if he wasn't "famous"?
