I really like how neatly you wire everything so logically and neat. Since watching your videos, I've gone back and reworked my install wiring. I've learned a lot from your videos, thanks for making them.

I heard a half dozen new tips in that video. I have seen almost every video in the last year, and my knowledge on proper install procedure has grown immensely which is why the videos are so important to me. I follow Steve Meade, Car audio fabrication, sound man, HVCA, & Pssounds in England on SQ builds. I am 48 years old and been in & out of car audio since i was a 18. A decade ago i got back into it and had to start from scratch, forget what i though i knew and start all over to install and understand music, sound waves, proper deadening, Basic everything that goes into a system. I mean gutting the car for deadening and wiring. I an currently working on a 2012 Malibu SQ build that i currently have about 10k into. I do all the work myself. If i don't know how to do something... I will learn it! Just how i am. Sorry for the rant but i have been frustrated with the lack of install videos. Brett From ALASKA.

Just picked up a 13’ RRS this last weekend and immediately went to your channel to look for any installs related to range rovers because I wanted to add a sub.I was surprised to only find the one with the crazy Rockford build. And what do you know the next day you guys upload exactly what I was looking for! You guys are awesome, keep up the fantastic installs! And thank you for the great info!

Great video guys. Helped me with my plan for a new amp install. Also, for future reference, if you take the hood struts loose, you can lift the hood to nearly 90° and get better access to the engine bay.

I’m about to take this on in my 2012 L322, how bad was it to run the power wire from the battery at the front?
@andrewsoria5486 ай бұрын
These guys may have needlessly run power from the engine. Watching another video, they explained that there is already power running to the back where they mounted the amp. The big red wire is power and if you can tap into that line, you should be good to go.

Really like the way you work. Two things that may help you in the future, 1. All Range Rover hood / bonnets can open up to a vertial positon, there is a clip on either side by the hinge. 2. Were you made your install in the rear right hand side by the fuses there is a very big heavy duty red cable which is a mains power cable directly from the battery, could you not utilise that in future installs. I'd be very grateful if you could reply to me, and let me know if this is away that you could use in the future.

Great vid guys, could I just hook up a 10" or 12" sub to the original Amp? What about those 2 other wires to control the gain of the Amp if I decide to install new Amp? Thanks!
@andrewsoria5486 ай бұрын
Would you have been able to not run power all the way to the engine bay and just tap into the main fuse box next to where you’re I talking the amp? That fat red cable is power from the battery. That fuse box is called the “mid bay power control center” or something like that.

Hi I recently tried to install an amp and sub in my car and it blew a fuse and I had to buy a new radio. I now have a pioneer x490bs radio and I'm scared to try again because I don't know if it'll ruin my new radio or if my stock radio just couldn't handle the amp, any recommendations? (I have the skar 1200w amp and alpine woofer, and when I did a lil research my car has a built-in amplifier of 50w x 4)

Hey Dean, try some of the thin metal tubing used in modeling. You can roll a good sharp blade across it to cut it and you can get the length you need to get into those deep sockets.

Now can you do another video without all the extra BS and just how to wire it nice and sweet in about 2 mins? When you started working on the green plug you thru me way off. Like where did that plug come from? Is that the one plugged in the amp? Is there wires from the amp going to the old sub? Did you wire new wires to the new sub or use the old ones. Like can you clean it up. This is like impossible to follow.
