It's not weatherproof. Makita advise you to not use it in damp conditions.

19.11.20 - okay review there dog, after seeing your review I'm getting a DLM811 tomorrow. Makita are having a massive sale tomorrow at Mitre 10 and I'm thinking the 811 will have ample brightness for down in my gemstones mine.
