LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these series! My Momma was from the south and we were blessed when he cooking, stories and manners! Adults were Miss or Mr and relatives were Aunts or Uncles! When I was talking to my Aunt and was over 70, she said I could drop the title Aunt. I couldn't and didn't. I would hear my Momma catching and correcting me. My Mommy had been gone for 30 years, lol! Love these series thank you❤❤😊

I enjoyed this video and memory down home to my southern roots of Florida where I was born and raised snd live until the age of 54!! I moved to Ohio in 2004 ti be near my son who moved x up here after graduating from Flagler College I St Augustine Fl. ! I miss living in my hometown and the friendly southern ways ! I never had a cell phone until I move up here , I didn’t need one , if I broke down or had a flat tire someone I knew was sure to come along and help me !! But my sun said mom you have tj have a cell phone to call for help otherwise you’ll just be sitting there because no one’s gonna stop to help you they just fly on by ! And he was right I was on my way home from work and got a flat tire and cars just kept flying by as I unloaded my spare tire and was jacking up my car and changed my tire right there beside the road bot one person offered to help me ! I didn’t need help but at home at least one but probably two or Three woukd have stopped and ask if I needed help offered to change my tire ! At home a man won’t drive by a lady stranded on the road side but up here you could be sitting until a police car pulls up to tag your car to be towed away , no joke , and it’s sad and frightening to be a 73 yr old woman knowing unless you call fir help you won’t get any from people driving by , I guess they’ve lost their manners or maybe they weren’t taught to help others in times of need , especially the elderly ! My neighbor is 95 and she like I live alone and I’ve lived in my house I bought when I moved up here and we’ve become friends over the years and I always share part of what i cook with her everyday and ask her ti join us on holidays but she never dies so I make her a plate and take it to her before we even eat ( we being my son his partner and anyone they wants to bring ) ! I keep my southern roots alive by using them everyday because I cherish those days when people cared about others and were thoughtful and kind ! We shared what we had happily and we always knew we didn’t need to have money to be rich , every smile and hug showed us we were blessed !! Thanks Vickie for bringing me back to memories I cherish , where simplicity was comfortable , sharing was part of life , and rudeness was not tolerated !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈 PS- my son often says my looks could either cut you in 1/2 or warm your heart ! 🙋🏻
