I really enjoyed this one. Great camera work - I especially liked the “Clint drone” shots. 😁

Back in the 90's I used to ride/race MTB's & road bikes all over Gainesville with Carlos. He's a great guy & one of the funniest people I've ever met! I haven't seen him for 20 years or more so it was awesome to see him in this video! Great gravel ride! I'll try to join if I ever make it back there from CA someday.

Fun to watch, loved the comrade. It made me miss my road biking days. It’s hard to have conversations with people on mountain bike trails.

Great video. When say nice pace. Not to fast or to slow. So what average speed would that be. I Ride mostly alone. Getting in a group like that looks like a good time.

Average was 17-18mph

Loved watching this!! (Some of my favorite ride segments, but captured in fast forward!) I know lots of people are watching The Tour, but this was my fun inspiring video entertainment tonight... I'm so glad that I saw this, and so glad that you videoed it **holding your Go-Pro and riding this! I especially loved the OBR segment, as I love riding that road, and the comment about what I presume was (last paved ~75 years ago,) CR,-235-A, being worse than the gravel roads, (how many times have I said that too??) Jayson talking about launching his bottle was a great part too.😂 (I dropped my cell phone AND a bottle on my (party pace) ride yesterday, and thankfully got them both back and somehow didn't even vget dropped, thanks to kind buddies.) Anyway... I'm subscribed now. Where in the world have I been?? This was so much fun to watch!

It’s amazing how fast our gravel roads dry up. We get so much rain in the summertime but it actually helps them to not be dusty.

Great ride Clint, and an excellent video on your part. I’ve recently moved to SW FL. Is this ride in FL? One bike question please. I’m a relatively newer rider and have considered buying a MTB as an all around bike and gravel bike. I’m interested in the MTB the gentleman was riding in several shots during the ride. Do you happen to know the brand and model? I’m not at that pace but it did inspire me that I could use a MTB for a group gravel ride. Thanks

Yes, this ride is in the Gainesville Florida area. Most of our really good gravel roads are west and north of Gainesville. In terms of Bike, Hartel can make a pretty good gravel bike. I don’t know the model that particular person was riding. I did a whole series a few years ago on this topic. If you search KZbin for “Hardtail vs gravel bike Clint Gibbs”, you’ll find several videos on this.

@@ClintGibbs thanks so much for your helpful response. That’s a beautiful area that I need to check out. I’ll look up your video. I’ve seen several of yours and always enjoy them but haven’t seen that one. Have a magnificent day, Sir.

if you do a metric gravel ride by me quadruple the elevation.....we get about 50-100ft per mile unless on a rail trail, That almost looked like a A group road ride here in NY
