Really glad Angela Rayner made these points. I'm an NHS paramedic who was striking in the first strike in December. Prior to the strikes GMB and my ambulance trust agreed on a derogation to ensure care could be provided, but all of us who were on the picket line had access to 999 calls coming in the area where I work, all of us had vehicles and were capable of attending patients who we were clinically concerned about such as; cardiac arrests, entrapment RTC's, long lies amongst many others. NONE of us who were on the picket line fully withdrew our care despite having the right to, and the vast majority of us ended up going out to see a patient because that's what we signed up to do. To hear these sleazy, slimy, erroneous turds suggest that we don't care about our patients is incredibly insulting.

They have siphoned nearly £100B of tax payers money through their private companies and they have passed SO many laws that affect workers rights that any government following them has to make a choice between fixing those rights OR fixing the rest of the country. she is getting much better at swatting aside nonsense points/questions from the govt side like "how she expects to deal with the trade unions if she's in government" - and without flinching goes right back to the points she was making with the barbs thrown in about how they wouldn't have stuffed up the economy like they did. strong start to finish.. the opposition asks the questions to the government, not the other way round, stupid! was what i wanted her to say.

The sad fact of the matter is, the majority of people are comfortable, and less than half the population are in dire straits. People aren't suffering enough right now to even contemplate not going to work, as that could result in dismissal. Community has been eroded, the family unit has also been eroded, and I witnessed it happen over the last 15 years in real time. We simply need to wait for the Boomers to die off, it's as easy as that. Once the boomers GTFO of life, we can aim for a Utopia in the lines of Luxury Star Trek Communism. Another excellent performance by AR. Should this bill pass it will probably be too late to effect the current unrest. So the impact will be for future strikes by who knows what set of workers. One thing we can be sure of is that the government will not be short of trade unionists willing to be charged under this bill, it may however be short of employers willing to engage in court cases and also ministers willing to support it so close to a General Election.
