excellent content Bobby-Metal, all in due time, they had their first arena show in the US in 2019 at the Forum in LA, if it wasn't for the pandemic, they might be on a world arena tour by now. Only the fox-god knows. btw, I went to the Forum show in LA and it was spectacular, met other super-fans there from all over the world. oh and one more thing, the Big Fox Festival was Yui's last performance.

We went over to see them play two gigs in Japan. It was different level excellence. Having seen them at Sonisphere & Wembley I felt it was important to see them on home ground. I wasn’t disappointed ……they were magnificent. I later saw them at a smaller venue in Scotland …..they were as 100% committed as at any of the arenas. In my opinion they have improved year on year and are better now than ever.

Good reaction as always. They have only played this song once outside of Japan (it was a Japan exclusive track on Metal Resistance) - we couldn't believe our ears when the heartbeats sounded in Brixton in 2019. They did take their full arena show production to the US in 2019 and set it all up at the Forum in LA. In 2016 they were the first Japanese band to headline at Wembley Arena in London. Had it not been for the pandemic it was looking like they were on their way to bigger things around the world ... OK probably nowhere near as big as the bands you listed of course, but even with that set back they are the most successful Japanese band internationally of all time and the first Asian band ever to have an album at number 1 in the US Billboard Hard Rock Charts. I like all their songs, I don't skip any, so picking a "least favourite" ... I guess its between 'Elevator Girl' (English version) - same thoughts as Jeff Schreifels on that - and 'Da Da Dance' - its not bad, just not my style having suffered the awful disco and dance music of the 70s it reminds me too much of that.

So good to see you back with more BM songs Bobby, really appreciated. BabyMetal love keep spreading throughout these years, don't worry they will come back, they just do their thing in their own way and following schedule as well adding some narrative and context to their shows, a chapter was closed so we just need to wait for the seal to be broken and enjoy their new material. While "From Dusk Till Dawn" was the bonus track for international album, Syncopation was the exclusive bonus track for Japanese album, this one is a banger and both are dope song but FDTD will be over this one as a top BM favorite for me. Idk if you're into anime series songs but many fans and reactors said this song is the one with more anime vibes along with Karate, is cool, i would love to see some BM anime or any other cool anime with this song. I don't remember all the songs at BMRR channel so i can't tell which one is the less reacted, but i can tell you which BM song is the less reacted and also less heard for me, _"Up, Down, Left, Right BBAB" from Metal Galaxy album, and that is probably because there's no official MV and also is the only song they never performed till this day, is not a bad song for me but certainly got some other songs way above that on my playlist lol Love all songs either way. Thanks again and hope to see you soon next time 🦊🤘

I am a Japanese in my 60s. To me, this song feels similar to Japanese popular music of decades ago. Japanese popular music had always been influenced by American trends such as jazz and rock'n'roll, but in the 1960s and 70s it was influenced by the San Remo Music Festival in Italy. I feel that influence remains strong today. This "Syncopation" and "Amore" feel that Italian influence. So I feel a little nostalgia for this song.

This is such a fantastic song. It has such a relentless pace that goes through my whole body and keeps me on edge. I can't really explain it. And as you said, they are really good at making small changes to keep things interesting. The individual verses or even choruses of their songs are rarely ever completely identical, there's always at least a small detail that's changed to increase intensity compared to the previous one. My personal "least favourite" (and that's exactly what I call it, too, as it doesn't get worse than that) would be "Oh! MAJINAI". And even that one, at least when watched as a live performance, is immensely entertaining and satisfying.

There is one unreleased song Babymetal made called Babymetal-Up, Down, Left, Right BBAB. I think it was supposed to be on the Metal Galaxy album. I believe it is based off the video game “Konami code” but based in there own way. A lot have said it is their least liked song but alot also love it! Check it out!

Ah finally, this is my all-time BM favorite song. Been 3 years this way. Ain't ever changing ! Quite funny to think you challenged us (me included) to comment to you my least favorite song of theirs on my all-time favorite one :D. I'd say my least favorites are in no particular order (and not counting BM intro songs like Future Metal) : - Elevator Girl English version - Oh Majinai! - BBAB
@JustAnotherReactor2 жыл бұрын
I've actually reacted to Oh Majinai! I can see how that can be on someone's least favorites list. I'd say it's probably one of my least favorite as well, but like I said in this reaction, being a least favorite, it's still a really fun kick ass song.

Great reaction. Of course I prefer when Yui was there but also I enjoy the newer stuff as much. Seeing our small ladies grow up to be magnificient artists. (still small though) Synco from Big Fox is my personal favorite and also the last show with Yui. Also I would pay huge money to see a arena show but what I hear from others is that smaller venues are fantastic where you actually can see them. For example Tokyo Dome with 55000 is so much more enjoyable on video than it was on location.... but still I would pay to see a show like that. Least favorite? can't do. Tales of destinies is probably the one I wouldn't put on if I listen to just one song (I'm not a prog metal type) but still a fantastic song. On scale 0-10 (5 average 6 good 7 yeah 8 really good 9 wow 10 Best) all BM songs are 8-10 expect No rain no rainbow(Legend S) that one is 11

Great reaction, again. Thanks! "Syncopation" is on my top favorite list for many different reasons. And one of them is that perfect ending. Probably my favorite ending of a song I've ever listened to. And I know perfectly why: first, the stunning guitar solo and then the highly conclusive final part. I love well rounded up and concluded things :) My least favorite would be "↑↓←→BBAB" and I rarely listen to it because it has never been played live. And "Future metal" which has been played but it's a sort of intro or interlude, not intended (imo) to be performed live or choreographed.

Great reaction as always Bobby. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻 And just to be clear, Dragonforce didn't write anything, but they did record the guitars for the song on the album. ☺️

Well it's also incorrect saying that they only recorded the guitars! Dragonforce made the guitars arrangements to make it sound more like Dragonforce :)

@@BlackArr0w Babymetal] contacted us a couple months before [their 2015 debut album] actually came out. And I knew of them before because we tour a lot in Japan and we know about the scene out there, so they just asked and said ‘We’d love to have you playing the guitars on this song. But there’s no title yet,’ and I said ‘Yeah, hey, I know what you guys do. It’s different, it’s original, it’ll be fun.’ “It’s the kind of fun thing that DragonForce usually do. It was great; I enjoyed working with them, recording and also playing with them that one time at the [2015] Golden Gods.” There's a clip from a Herman Li stream where he's asked if "Ror" isnt really just a Dragonforce song. He says no, it's a Babymetal song where Sam Totman and Herman Li play the guitars. The song credits (including lyrics, music and arrangements) don't include anyone apart from team Babymetal

@@BlackArr0w I've seen it. He actually makes little sense, he says "...where we, Sam and I, you know from Dragonforce, we play the guitars on them, arranged or that, and that's how you..." I think he meant to say "we played the guitars on those arrangements ". Also I think if you had a hand in writing or arranging, you'd say"we played the guitars and helped arrange them" or something. And if you think about how many songwriters some songs have, I don't think Koba would have wanted to deny them credit for something they wrote or arranged. 😊

Hi Bobby, another great reaction to my favorite band at the moment (well, since I first saw them about 2 years ago). You want to know my least favorite Babymetal song? It's a hard question because it depends on the day. However, I am probably going to upset a few people here but I am going to say it's a three-way tie between Shanti, Shanti, Shanti; Amore; and Night, Night Burn. I know these songs are still great, but if I am going to hit skip on my playlist, it would most likely be to these three songs.
@hedoban_nord2 жыл бұрын
Great reaction, as usual. :-) "Syncopation" is great, it's too bad they left it off the inernational edition of the album. My least favorite BM song, hm... that would be a tie between "Night Night Burn" and "Oh Majinai". They're not bad but I never listen to them voluntarily (only when there's a KZbin-reaction to them - which rarely happens).

There are no bad Babymetal songs, but the one at the bottom of my list is Elevator Girl (English version). It was originally a Japanese/English song, but for some reason, they made an all English version, but the lyrics are kind of dumb, imo. It sounds great musically.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🎶 💕 Since you prefer to watch BABYMETAL footage with Yuimetal, the BIG FOX FESTIVAL (at Osaka-Jō Hall in Chūō, Ōsaka, Japan) is the last opportunity. That October 15th, 2017 concert was her last appearance with BABYMETAL. This was a classic Kami Band line-up of Mikio Fujioka and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. IMO, 'Syncopation' is a killer track. Pretty much a flawless blend of guitars and vocals. This is what producer Koba said in a 2016 interview: Q: Of all the songs in this album wouldn’t you say that ‘Syncopation’ has the most Japanese feel to it? Kobametal: Yes, I would agree to that. And that is why on the overseas edition we put a different song in its place. On the Japanese edition we wanted to present an ever more Japanese quality to it and so this song was included. On the overseas edition in place of ‘Syncopation’ we have instead included the song ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’. (Of course as it turns out, Western audiences love this song as well.) As far as my least favorite BABYMETAL song is concerned, that might be 'BABYMETAL Death'. I'll often skip the album track, although it's a great mood setter at live shows. Either that, or 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! - (Night of 15 Mix). That version used to really bug me, but I ultimately decided that if Su wanted a rave party for her 15th and 16th birthdays, who am I to tell her no?
