Hi - I tend to double it up the 'kick drum' with the 'percussion' sound. This gives the kick a transient attack, and helps it cut through the mix 🤓

All of the akai animals require tasteful balancing of the individual volume knobs per part, the master volume output, and the howl. On the RW I almost always maximize the kick and back everything off (often waaaaay off) from there.
