I'm trying a new cheap1500 gram hammer from Amazon on the plunges but forgot to dress the face so as you can see it left some creases while I was drawing out the heel. I like the hammer though. It is something to try on future projects. DON'T WORRY, I have a narrated video coming out this week. Thanks!

The Swedish pattern hammer? Looks a lot like my Picard. I consider it my "Power Hammer" as the rest of my hammers are 2-1/2 lbs or less. I've had the Picard Swedish pattern 1500g hammer since probably 2016 I think. Been a fantastic hammer. Comically...I just dressed the faces for the first time earlier this week 😂 took me long enough.

@@cactusman8980 the edge of a blade starts at the heel and ends at the point. It's the part closest to your fingers, just above the handle

Have you ever considered manually entering captions in these style videos? I really like the information and experiences shared on the narrated videos, that can be a good way to do it while keeping the "Just Forging A Knife" qualities. Plus, they're a really good medium for adding jokes and such that don't necessarily work when spoken 😂

Looking good, they're a very classic knife. Sort of the OG of bushmen and explorer knives. Now you're ready to go down the Colorado river with Mr Powell and fight some beavers

The knife is coming along great. Your style of first pulling the heel of the blade down on the edge of the anvil is unique. I've tried it and I like it but it took me several attempts. It seems to be a time saver once you get it to the sander.

I used to do that early too. Establish the heel and get a reverse banana curve right away. The latter does not apply to a Nessmuk though. 😁

If you put on close captions (auto generated) It's awesome. The algorithm interprets various rhythmic hammer blows as [ music] And [ foreign] thank you My favorite is Applause! During the slow mo. Lol 😆

The hammer work is nice. It's been a while since I knocked something out just with the anvil and the hammer. Maybe I need to do that again to make sure I remember how... Thank you.
