The beefy sound and the exquisite musical taste on this solo are something I really enjoyed. You are always threading the right stuff. Thanks for the video!

Shout out for the honey suckle rose quote, Jay! As I’m attempting to learn more, I’ve been noticing how this phrase is such a classic bit of Jazz language.

Oowee! Loving this Jay! I’m also enjoying shedding this song and the improvisation lessons in the BetterSax studio this month.

Your sound is absolutely massive, yet so sensitive. I love it! I've gotta do more long tones... and maybe buy a burnin mouthpiece...

Hello, Mr. Jay! I dig all your videos, man! 🙏🏾 thank you! I was wondering if you could create a video about working with a great mouthpiece, but it gradually plays sharp. Yes, I can pull out, but with spit and pressure on the cork, it slides down and therefore, I'm playin' sharp again. I've considered wrapping cork with electrical tape to thicken cork. I'm also considering buying another Selmer neck with a fatter cork just for that mouthpiece, however, that's a pricey solution I'd rather avoid. I don't want to get a thicker cork on my current neck because my E. Rousseau and Otto Link STM already have a snug fit. It's my Claude Lakey 6* that's the problem child. Thank you! 🔥🎷

hi Jay Great performance. Is it my imagination, or the sound of this set-up is a bit quacky? there's a tint of it... I'm sure you can fix it...
